Absolutely outstanding from start to finish great job. Will recommend.
Amazing staff , fantastic food ... they have got it so so right with the variety and the various sizes / prices . Very happy!!
Visited today it was wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely visit again. The garden was full in the sunshine and will be a great asset if we have a good summer
Garden is amazing. Finally dorking has somewhere that serves good food and somewhere nice to sit and enjoy the sunshine (when it actually comes out)
Thank you! Thoughtful manager came out with free , much appreciated coffee for the two very wet Rotary Club of Dorking Deepdene volunteers assisting traffic during today’s Prudential Ride London event. Great coffee and we shall be back to eat and drink something stronger.
Great food! Great service. Xx
A complete transformation. Congratulations.
A real little gem. Love it x

Had amazing dinner on Saturday! The pub seemed very busy so we were glad we booked ahead. Despite it being busy, staff were great and food was really delicious. I was blown away by this chicken and chorizo dish, perfect for an autumnal day.
We held our son’s 1st birthday party at The Queens Head, we went there after we had been at Meadowbank soft play.
They were very accommodating, they allowed us to go in early at 11am to set up the under-sea-themed decorations in the teepee tent in the garden. They stored our cake for us in the fridge and provided the small plates and napkins for the cake I made.
The Fish and Chips, Jerk Chicken Burger and Beef burgers were all delicious, the Mussels were massive, the kids enjoyed their Pasta too. The teepee tent had matting on the floor and my son enjoyed crawling around on it and exploring.
I payed a visit a couple of times to the pub in the run up to the party, as I wanted to ask questions, add a few extra guests and make sure everything was going to run smoothly on the day, the staff there was very helpful and reassuring.
It’s an amazing place! Thank you for making our son’s birthday very special!
When we walked in, there was a sign that said please wait to be seated. There was nobody around. We saw one man on his phone and laptop. He never looked up to say hello or sorry or be with you in one minute. He just stayed on his phone and never looked up. We waited about 10 minutes with nobody greeting us. I walked around to look for other staff member since he obviously couldn't care less about customers. I found the chef in the kitchen and asked does anyone work here, he said yes, him, oh but he's on the phone, so we waited another 5 minutes and another couple walked in and they too were shocked that nobody was there to greet us.
Once he got off the phone he finally seated us and he was pleasant. I think someone needs to teach him a thing or two about customer service.
We just ordered a burger and I ordered mine without bread because I'm allergic to gluten.
I must say the burgers were absolutely delicious! My compliments to the chef! We have had burgers from Netherlands, Brussels and now here in Queen's Head in the UK and it tasted amazing! The fries were great too, very fresh and crispy on the outside.
Great location, superb atmosphere, stellar service and excellent food👌🏽
We had the beef short rib and the chicken Supreme: absolutely delightful! For dessert we had the apple crumble and the almond and pear tart: simply heavenly👌🏽

An excellent dining experience with superlative food but let down by the service.
The pub is lovely. Really nicely decorated, feels welcoming and warm but still a sense of modernism. Great for smaller and bigger groups.
The food is fantastic. Really really excellent. Had the Sunday lunch - superb. Probably one of the best I’ve had. Everything was done very well.
Giving a 4 stars as the service let it down. Service was friendly and good when we had it. Otherwise it was quite inattentive and slightly frustrating. I think they just need more servers.
Otherwise, highly recommend
Haven’t had chance to get out for Sunday lunch for a long time and chose the Queens Head today as it’s very local for us. Service was friendly and efficient. Roast Beef and Roast Chicken were both excellent, good portions and nice and hot. Nice atmosphere and great to see the pub busy with other happy diners. Would recommend. 😁
We come here alot of Sundays, they have the BEST roast, I've had a fair few and can definitely say this is by far the best and it's very tasty and filling, but be prepared it can be a bit heavy but im not complaining :D it comes with all the trimmings and the veggies are beautiful! A nice little hidden gem in Dorking. Definitely make a visit if you can. Also, make sure you book ahead.
Just what I needed after my walk at stepping stones!!! A nice roast dinner, there was plenty of space for me and my two dogs, and the staff was lovely. Will come back
I had such a lovely time here. The food is excellent (I particularly enjoyed my fish and chips), the staff are great and the atmosphere is good. I will be back soon.
We went here for a Christmas dinner. The pub was warm and snug it was very clean inside but it retains lots of very old traditional feel.
Table service was excellent, and the food was outstanding, specially the sprouts (which normally HATE) they were delicious.
This is not a cheap pub, a pint of beer 5-6 quid, a large class of wine 12.... The four of us ate and drank well for £50 a head with the cost of living and the quality, not too unreasonable . It was good so good in fact we were tempted to ask how things had been cooked! A remarkable meal.
Dorking very best pub. We Came to try out this place and then kept coming back for Sunday roast...
Foods is amazing fresh and hot
Super tasty and the staff are so lovely and kind
Highly recommend especially Sunday roast
As always lovely place. Great choice of beers/lagers/gins. Food usual high standard but the rump at 250g cooked beautifully medium rare is too big for a female to tackle in my view - I gave a lump of it to hubby who had demolished his humongous steak burger too!!! Bring back the flat iron or a bavette type steak which has disappeared off the menu. That’s only reason I gave 4*. The staff were welcoming and so lovely. Nothing too much trouble and very attentive. We’ll be back.

Every time I have visited the food and service has been excellent. The food is on par with Dorking's prices (not cheap!) but is roads ahead in quality. Great menu with something for everyone, and some good priced deals on weeknights. Drinks have also always been excellent quality as well.
Management - you may be wondering why I have only given 4 stars despite the excellent experiences I have always had here. The answer is that your staff aren't treated fairly, and the public should know that their 12.5% service charge that is put on every food bill is not fairly distributed to staff. I have gently asked staff every time I have paid "do you get a share of the service charge?" and I always get a half-smile and a response along the lines of "sort of". The staff obviously could say a lot more but are protecting management/their jobs by not complaining. But this needs to change. There is only so long you can keep this business successful if your staff aren't treated fairly - they can and will leave. Make sure ALL of that 12.5% goes to the bar, waiting and kitchen staff and then I will be back, however for now, a loyal customer has been lost.
This pub never ceases to amaze. The prices are actually very good for the value you get. Everything is absolutely incredible quality from the food to the service to the actual building that is so beautiful and quaint. But the star of the show of course has to be the garden that they've converted to a half outdoor half indoor space with the teepees! (when sitting near the windows in the front in the summer they are open and it feels like you're outside! And yet it's so cozy and warm in the winter!) The menu changes frequently so even more of a reason to go as often as possible! You can't be disappointed with this, a must try for sure!
Nice pub, came here for a meal for two. Great pint of Darkstar Hophead. Good service. Tasty flat iron steak but had to order another portion of their triple cooked chips as the don't give you enough in my opinion
Amazing time and amazing meal. To be honest, it’s the first time since the start of lockdown that I’ve had a proper pub experience - I’d forgotten what it felt like. The weather - sunny and 21c didn’t hurt. We sat outside, under the tipis.
Service was great, very warm and attentive. Finally, they have frozen margaritas much like what I’d seen in Savannah Georgia. They’ve stolen my idea of introducing these to the UK!
My family and I enjoyed a Sunday roast here yesterday. The sirloin beef was amazingly tender and very well seasoned. The staff were attentive and polite. We'll definitely be back.
