We had the 10 course taster menu and the food was incredibly good. The scallops with the cauliflower and white chocolate sauce was absolutely divine. The volume of food gets a bit much so be sure to not eat 3 days prior to booking ;)
Had dinner here for my Dad's birthday last weekend. The menu was great, the service was very friendly and attentive, and it seemed like the staff enjoyed working there (which I think is a good indicator of a decent business!) Food was gorgeous, I had scallops for starter which were so delicious and later the hazelnut cheesecake which I haven’t stopped thinking about since! Very reasonable prices also considering the quality of food and service, would recommend to anyone for a lovely enjoyable meal out!
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Fantastic menu with incredibly well cooked and beautifully presented food. Prices were excellent and the halibut was the best fish dish I have ever eaten. Restaurant is in an old listed building and the decor inside is gorgeous. Fantastic service throughout. Will be recommending Al Molo to anyone that will listen!
Wonderful experience for a special birthday meal. We had half a dozen of the biggest oysters we’ve ever seen and scallops for starter, dressed crab and seafood linguini for main and then a cheese board to finish. All courses beautifully presented with high quality ingredients. Attentive and friendly service and a Lovely wine list too.
Not the cheapest but it’s clear that you are paying for really good quality fresh ingredients.
Thanks to the team at Al Molo Dorchester.
Both the food and service at Al Molo is always exceptional. If you haven't been and you fancy some of the best food in Dorchester then you need to book in 👌
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best restaurant we have experienced on our England trip. Every single dish was exquisite. Amazing.
P. S. I left my thermos on Sunday evening. Please donate it to someone or dispose. Thank you.
Superb food. Superb service. You must try this gem. The set menu is very good value. Don’t miss out this is the best restaurant in Dorchester.
Lunch for two. The fixed price lunch menu had an extensive choice of options. Ham hock terrine was pleasant but less terrine, more pulled hock in a dressing with a salad. Followed by pork fillet which was wrapped in pancetta served with mashed potato and a red wine jus which was well reduced, glossy and flavoursome. Pork fillet was cooked exceptionally well. Al Molo is well worth a visit, great hosts, service and an amazing building which is not to be missed.
Had a delicious meal at the recently opened Al Molo in Dorchester. The food was beautifully presented with fantastic flavours in all dishes. We were presented with a king prawn appetiser which was unexpected and then delicious home made bread board. Focaccia was to die for! Fine dining. We will be back with friends and family.
Having never been to Dorchester before, I wanted to ensure we had a nice meal after visiting the museums for the day. Al Moro got some great reviews and here’s another one! The restaurant is in a beautiful old building with table cloths and pretty décor. The menu has so many delicious plates, with some great flavour combinations making it hard to choose. All the food was fresh, beautifully presented and tasted wonderful – there really wasn’t anything to complain about. The staff are very welcoming and friendly – really enjoyed our evening. We are only half an hour away on the train and can’t wait to come back to work our way through the menu!
Best restaurant in town for fine dining! friendly staff with exceptional food. Can’t recommend enough!
What a great find. Italian fish restaurant. Wonderful selection of menu which you will hard to find anywhere else. Had halibut with mussels and beans in a while wine sauce. Wow - how good was that. Great wine selection, wonderful staff and most enjoyable visit. If you visit Dorchester this is a must.
This restaurant is quite simply excellent. The decor is great, real white linen tablecloths and napkins. Great wine selection, some great local bottled beers on offer and an attentive and caring front of house team. This is finally a fish restaurant with a great selection of fish and shellfish on the menu and an Italian that is not hideously overpriced. On our table we had between us salmon, crab, halibut, turbot, monkfish, prawn, squid, mussels and it was all excellent. Recommend without hesitation and cannot wait to go back.
Was a lovely meal
Staff are very attentive
Excellent food, wonderful service definitely our go to restaurant in Dorchester. Tgey accommodated a party of 13 very well we had a great time.
One of the best seafood pastas I ever had. I didn't expect that in Dorchester, but got great Italian seafood!
Wonderful old building, delicious Italian food, impeccable service - a really fantastic little restaurant on Dorchester’s beautiful High Street.
Went to Al Molo for a family birthday. All three courses were well presented, balanced and delicious, with everything cooked to order. The ingredients used in the dishes were clearly high quality. The wine list was interesting and the service attentive but non-intrusive. The restaurant is set in an old style building with a clean, crisp modern feel. A particularly thoughtful touch was the birthday candle the staff put in the dessert. The only aspect not in keeping with the rest of the outstanding meal was the basic Jacob crackers on the cheeseboard, it would have been nice to have some more interesting crackers. We had a mixture of a la carte menu items and the set menu for one of our party which at £35 for three courses is very good value. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
