Nice food for a Wetherspoons ( it was warm !) Quick service too , OK beer choice but it's never brilliant just before a beer festival anyway. Rather noisy customer in there but OK apart from that.
We were all very hungry & tired after driving back late from the airport in torrential rain. Everywhere closing, so we nipped into 'Spoons for drinks & a meal. Welcoming pub with relaxing atmosphere & decent, homely food. Staff great & swift service 🤗
Their Beyond Meat burger is great, the cheesy garlic bread is almost a meal in itself, definitely enough for two. Always busy, but for a relatively inexpensive quick bite in town it is perfect. Regularly visit as I am vegetarian and daughter isn't.
Conveniently located close to the town center. Plenty of seatings and lovely service staff during our visit! Good value set meal with drinks for a quick lunch!
Toilets need a bit more attention to cleanliness
Excellent food at very good price! Can order with table service or the app & food arrives so, so quick! Can sit inside or outside. Visited the day we went on holiday & found food so good just had to visit again on way home from holiday too.

We called in for lunch at The Royal Oak in September 2022, while visiting Dorchester from our holiday park in Weymouth. It seemed a bit scruffy and basic, but the staff were very good, as was the food. Good wheelchair access at the rear of pub, and accessible toilet on the ground floor near wheelchair entrance.
Called in for breakfast after a stormy week in Weymouth, food was good service was excellent and very clean.👍👍

Girls were helpful, food was hot and fresh, drinks cold and served quickly.

We needed somewhere easy to feed our daughter and ourselves and this did the trick. It was really easy to access with the pushchair and she loved the food as much as we did.
The pub was very busy when we were there, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was served quickly and was hot and very tasty. It was great value for money
