Quaint, historic and rambling building. The food is excellent and the staff are lovely. The wood fires were welcoming and we enjoyed relaxing in the warmth as the weather is still unpredictable for the season. Dorchester on Thames is a gem of a place, with lots of pleasant walks nearby. I hope to make a stay here a regular treat.

This was one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed in. It is full of beautiful character, clean, charming, comfortable, friendly staff and lovely food. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a quiet village weekend, a romantic weekend, to lovers of walking in the beautiful surrounding Oxfordshire countryside, in fact anyone who enjoys and appreciates a good hotel.

Sunday morning after a trip to see the alpacas at Bishop's Court farm. Lovely staff, including the boss, and they make a magnificent pot of tea. Bacon sandwiches would have been great but it was mid-morning and, to be fair, we didn't ask. Great location assuming you can park nearby

Excellent hotel. Just 5 miles 10 minutes from Redbridge Park & Ride outside Oxford City. Food is excellent, breakfast and dinner. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and very comfy bed. Parking at rear of hotel which is an old coaching Inn with a lot of character and history. Fully recommend.

Lovely old English Inn with quirky rooms and traditional decor. My Italian colleague said "could this be any more English?" as we negotiated the complex maze of corridors to our rooms. Breakfast was great, and staff helpful without being over attentive.

Dorchester is such a lovely village and is used to film Midsummer Murders. Very helpful and flexible with a lovely restaurant. Room smelt a tad musty on first entry but they are old buildings and we slept well. Car park is small and entrance is tight, just be patient. Lots to do in the area and wonderful for a river walk, Abbey and a nose around the allotments.

It's a traditional hotel that fits in well with the area. Staff are polite and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and traditional. I highly recommend if you want an escape from the busy fast paced life. A good place for chilling and relaxing.

My partner Liezel and I stayed at the White Hart Hotel as a last minute getaway, to get some peace away from some troublesome neighbours. We managed to get an early check in and an upgrade thanks to the wonderful Marie. What an asset to the Hotel she is. The Hotel is an excellent place to stay and use as a base for exploring Oxfordshire. Dorchester on Thames also has a wonderful historic Abbey. We had two evening meals and two breakfasts whilst staying at the Hotel. The food was excellent and all the Staff that we met were also excellent and very accommodating. A big thank you also to Dawn for listening to us and giving us some moral support. Smalls acts of kindness can make a person's day.

Went here during a visit to see family nearby, had a wonderful dinner and drinks with amazing staff. Perhaps the most dog friendly restaurant I have personally been to, most welcoming atmosphere full of lovely people. Would recommend popping by if you are In the area!

An excellent historic building and a cosy hotel with superior cuisine. The staffs are helpful, the service is first class and facilities more than adequate. The furniture is old but with rustic look and fits the bill. The place is well managed and lovingly looked after. We had a super lunch with friends one warm afternoon in July.

Absolutely wonderful. A beautiful 16th century hotel set in a middle aged hamlet surrounded by history. The staff were fantastic, the food was freshly cooked and the locals were great company. You must stay here, it's fabulous. Even the ghosts were friendly. Five stars. Mark Appleby

Best Sunday roast I had in a long time. Everything was from scratch as opposed to microwaved frozen veg many other places now do. The portion was substantial and it all tasted very good. The room is also tastfully decorated. Value, location and attentive staff made my day!

Ten out of ten! The selling point for me was the friendly, helpful and accommodating management. A spacious room with an extremely comfortable bed. The dinner menu in the hotel restaurant had some quite unusual dishes on it and the food was delicious. My starter looked and tasted like something out of Masterchef. The cooked breakfast was also excellent.
