Odd how two Spoons can be so close together with a similar space but totally different. This bar seems far friendlier. OK, maybe not as busy as the Red Lion but a lot more hospitable. Delighted to have a pint from Dorset brewery Jurassic ..Durdle Door ( a famous coastal feature) at 5%. And once again Madge got her 50p CAMRA discount.

Food, for the price and prompt service, is fine. What is so nice is that there is still an atmosphere. People go here just to go here and enjoy a drink, a laugh and being in each other's company.

Spoons is spoons - you're guaranteed decent food, well priced beer and 10,000 stairs to the toilet, however... This place is different as you're made to feel very welcome by all the staff, even coming over to ask if the food is ok. Not had that before. Highly recommend this place 👍🏻

Nicely tucked away pub. Nice atmosphere and clean and tidy. The staff were prompt and polite. Drinks as you'd expect in wetherspoons were great value. Ordered on app to table, which was quick and seamless. Overall, it was a great experience.

This was one of the nicer Wetherspoons experiences I have endured. The service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful particularly one gentlemen working last Friday night who's customer service was top shelf. The drinks and food came in reasonable time and it was busy. We even got asked if our food was okay, which is rare in Wetherspoons.

This was a pleasant pub to stop off for a drink at before catching a train, where the bar is well-presented and I was served by lovely, patient staff there! The lights and design inside are glorious, accompanying me appropriately as I sat at a comfortable striped seat. A placemat made for a neat addition at my round table, one that had been cleanliness fully maintained in line with the pub area as a whole!

Light late breakfast. Good value. This was my first visit and I used Google to locate it. Google tried sending me to two other establishments first.. both turned out not to be Wetherspoons.! So this one wasn't easy to find. But it's as good as any that I've been in. Service was excellent.

28th August Birthday Breakfast Update My sister treated me to breakfast here on my birthday. Service was fast & friendly. The food was decent. 24th September 2020 Update Now there's a queuing system at the entrance. You need to wait 2m apart. there's a desk where they take your name and number. The back is for food and the front for drinking only. Find yourself a free table. You can only order using their app as it's table service only. Covid review There's had sanitiser on the way in. there's a form to fill in if you want to. At the bar there are spots on the floor to show you where to queue. i was in the wrong place and one of the staff helpfully pointed me to the right place :-) You queue at the till and order there (or use their app). They prefer contactless but you can still use cash. I couldn't see any other patrons wearing a mask other than myself. There are only screens between tables at the back and that's where i sat. Wifi wasn't working today which is unusual 2019 review Decent cheap varied tap selection. Good food

It more than okay. Sadly a bit tired and now dated, but the friendly staff and good food served here makes up for that. Enjoyable visit, excellent eats.

Great prices on food and drink. Their were a few rowdy individuals the last time I was in. The manager did have a word with them though.

Nice little branch of the wetherspoons chain of pubs, cheap and more than cheerful, I never had food but expect it would be the same fare served by other wetherspoons ie cheap and decent enough pub grub, service was good although there were only two bar staff they were quick even though at one time they had a massive line at the bar, I never waited more than 4-5 minutes before getting served.

Great Spoons again as is The Red Lion. Staff very good as is the food but once again that 2 mile hike to the toilets, it wouldn't be a Spoons without that though, would it.😂👍
