What a great find..... A few weeks ago I discovered Nur Restaurant on Edlington Lane in Edlington, Doncaster, and what a great find it has proved to be!
Quite a small dining area, maybe seating for 30 to 35, but nicely furnished with a good atmosphere.
The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent but not over-fussy.
The quality of the food is tremendous and rivals some of the best restaurants over in Bradford, which is famous for the quality of its Indian restaurants. Soft drinks are served but, as it has no liquor licence, they invite diners to bring their own alcohol, which, to me, is preferable (2 or 3 shops nearby sell wine & beer). Prices are very reasonable considering the quality & quantity of the food served and the home cooked breads are delicious, especially the giant ‘Family Nan’!
They operate an efficient takeaway service too (which I have tried), with collection or delivery available, and I think deliveries can be made to as far afield as Sprotbrough, Maltby, Wadworth and Balby. There are ‘Feast Nights’ a couple of times a week; I haven’t yet attended one but it looks very reasonable for what is on offer.
I am so pleased I found this place, tucked away just past the Co-op supermarket, on the main road, but set back a bit. It has become my favourite eating place in the area and I have told all my friends about it.
What can I say !!! Stay away from Tara lounge and visit the nur any day , never had a bad one in 3 yrs
Doncaster nur. I was taken here for valentines, but the night before. the service is very good, friendly and polite. the food was amazing! definitley be going there again! also has a delivery service...
Very busy for a Sunday but the staff are attentive & the food is delicious & the price is amazing.
First visit last night with 10 friends, food was exceptional 👌 service was very good and extremely helpful and friendly despite being very busy. Would definitely recommend and I can't wait to visit again, thank you NUR and good luck with all your future endeavours.
Attended for a family meal, delicious food, good portions, welcoming staff, and will cater for allergies and taste requests. Staff made children feel welcome, we will be returning (Regularly hopefully).
A lovely meal again, great place to meet up with friends for a meal that doesn't break the bank. The food is always excellent here

Lovely meal, everything was delicious. Only negatives were almond powder in some of the popular dishes and food containing gluten wasn't marked on the menu.
Used the take away and restaurant. The food has always been tasty and excellent quality. I always have chicken and have never had any problems regards it being tough or hard to cut. Great portion sizes and always tasty. I go for dishes that are more authentic rather than korma etc. Brilliant

First visit with friends. Great staff and great food. Nothing too much trouble. We visited on a Sunday so it was special priced menu, excellent value and choice plus taking your own alcohol also made it a very affordable evening. Highly recommended 🙌😁
Beautiful again. Takeaway tonight but we've been to the restaurant and ordered in a few times since we moved here three months ago. Really nice staff, really nice food (especially the garlic chili masalla). 10/10 from me!

Our second visit and enjoyed it more than the first which we didn't think possible. Top class food that you can taste the difference between. It is now our new go to Indian Restaurant 👍🏻😁
Great food, excellent service and friendly staff. They made us laugh and smile but was also patient and allowed us time and didn't rush us to order, eat and leave. Brilliant. Everyone enjoyed the food. We will definitely go again
We visited for the first time tonight and was very impressed. The customer service was excellent and all staff were very friendly. All our food was faultless and very good value for money . We will definitely return in the future.
