Lalezar BBQ & Grill in Doncaster is a breath of fresh air for diners seeking vibrant flavors and a lively atmosphere. With a diverse menu featuring mouthwatering BBQ specialties, every bite is a delight. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is top-notch. A must-visit spot for a memorable dining experience!
Always enjoyed our meals at Lalazar. The Staff are always very welcoming and the owner is always pleased to see us. The taste of the food is so good and has remained so since day one. Keep up the good work guys. This truly is my favourite eatery in Doncaster.
Wonderful evening!
Food was awesome.
Service was awesome.
Company was brill (the,wife!)
We wanted to try a few different things, so had the kefir type drinks, we asked about the turnip juice, and he turned his nose up and said, no no no lol. Brill!
Service was great apart from waiting for the food for about 20 mins- the food was nice - thanks for the hospitality - could improve with more flavour- sauce with the steak was very bland and steak was ok - drinks were great - lovely kebab though! Thanks
I'd never had Turkish food before so I'd spent ages checking out the online menu only for the menu to be much vaster. I chose the Lamucan as I'd seen a Turkish influencer making them and I was desperate to try and I can't remember the main. It was a bit too spicy for me I wish I'd opted for a meal with diced chicken and not mince but the Lamucan was amazing.
The number of times we had to clap and sing got a little exhausting in the end but it's all fun.
We had the special meze for 4-5 people which was absolutely amazing. Plenty of very tasty food washed down with decent house wine.
Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere made it a perfect family dinner. Highly recommended!
Very good food, outstanding service, as a note, the owner gave to every single kid on the restaurant a 10Β£ note, regardless of the consumption as he loves child. Besides that, food was very good, clean, full of car parks very close and very good service.
Watch out Doncaster, the kings of kebabs are officially back!
*** Feb 2024 Update ***
Been a while since my last visit and thought I would pop in for a bite to eat (Midweek, early evening). Arrived without prior booking and got seated straight away.
N.B I would not normally advise this on a weekend for a dinner in the evening. Please book first as it gets very busy.
Whilst the portions seem a little smaller (only by a smidge), their food is back to its former glory. Smoky pittas were just as they should be.
Restaurant was modern and up to date, staff attentive and ultimately the food was back to how it should be! Smoky, lamby Mediterranean goodness.
I won't bore you with the details but I highly recommend the mixed grill. A bit pricey, but you get to take home what you don't eat as a second meal!
I am also pretty sure the prices have gone up, but haven't they everywhere.
Great to see this wonderful restaurant return to the place it used to be.
Well done πππππ
Update: Wow what a fall from grace. once I would have crawled over hot coal (no pun intended) to get a table here. I don't know if it has changed ownership, but the food is no longer excellent but mediocre at best. The smoked meat dripped bread has gone. The kebabs taste bland and they have removed the chicken wings from the mixed grill. Plus to boot, whilst this was not what I would call a fine dining experience, you could say it was intimate and enjoyable experience. Now it would appear every Karen or Ken has now discovered this place and thinks that raising their voice over the next table is the way to be heard better, resulting in what can only be best described as being at a concert level volume. I cannot blame the restaurant for this directly, however if they limited it to parties of 8 max per table, it would go some way to combat this.
No one wants to hear a drunk karen cackling at full volume or what Ken does for a second job!
If you happen to be visiting this place, make it very clear to the person seating you that you would like to be seated downstairs or you will end up regreting it.
You have been warned!
Old review (by contrast):
I have to pilgrimage to this restaurant once a month to get my grill on. Interior could be better (however this is being fixed as they are closing for a few months soon for a expansion and remodel), but is functional.
Please note: It can get very busy on weekends so book a table first. You could chance your luck but why bother.
My recommendation is the mixed grill with a large helping of their smoked pitta breads. I still have no idea how they do it but either way you will love the food.
Fantastic isn't a good enough word. All staff, the food, the drink, the atmosphere. Sultan our waiter was polite and very funny. We loved him. First time customer definitely not our last time. Only thing I could pick on is portions are huge but they give you take out boxes and the tip was already added on. We were going to tip anyway with high class it was. Just feels a bit cheeky. Xx
The breakfasts were delicious, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was authentic.πππβοΈ
5* all round. Just had dinner. We stopped here after travelling for 3 hours and needed a pit stop! This was a lovely place, the staff were friendly, place was buzzing and the food was superb. The tastiest lamb sis I've had (and we get from our local Turkish place almost weekly!!). Portion sizes were big and almost every table we saw took a doggy bag home. Including us and we aren't going home!! Well Done. Keep it up!
Absolutely fantastic food and service.
1st time I've eaten this type of food, but won't be the last.
The waiting staff were fantastic and made you feel like you had time to eat rather than try and get you out to do another serving.
100% recommend this place to anyone.
Oh, and the doggy bag was fantastic and very sturdy.
Fantastic. Excellent quality, great variety, beautiful flavours, good service. Tasty vegetation dishes, and good meat too. What a gem!!
We had a range of meze and were not disappointed. I live in Italy where high quality food is the norm, and this place is on a par with that. Highly recommended.
Excellent to see food of this quality in Doncaster.
We had a table booked for 9 people some how they squeezed us in. This place is easily one of the best places I've eaten. It can be expensive but worth every penny. The food was excellent, the staff 5 star and the atmosphere was amazing. To Finnish it off they sang happy birthday to my niece and the whole restaurant ended up singing aswell. Highly recommend.

Love, love, love this restaurant!!! My favourite restaurant in the whole of South Yorkshire. I had my leaving party there as I moved back home to the Netherlands. They did an amazing meal for 30 people on a busy Saturday evening. The service and food was outstanding as always. I really miss this place and will definitely be back as soon as I am back in the UK.
First time went in last Saturday, delicious food, fresh amazing quality and made in not long to wait for it. Lamb and Chicken mostly, fresh salads and souces. Lots of people inside so I think this is also mean it's nice place to visit.
Absolutely amazing place. Went to celebrate my in-laws birthday and the staff were grate. Everyone got involved and made it so much better. The staffs are amazing sultan in particular was very welcoming and had great service. Would recommend 10/10!!β€οΈ
