Yup - a deserved 5 stars. Was in the local Spar looking for some fresh bread when they suggested going to the bakery in the square.. where we found DDs. Thankfully we did. Had to queue for 10 mins and then bought just a chorizo quiche and a ciabatta roll, but both were wonderful. No wonder there's a queue here. A definite for sandwiches or hot snacks.
Fresh bread, delicious sandwiches, great selection of pastries&cakes. It does get busy at lunch, but its definitely worth queueing for. The staff always greet you with a smile. Will come back again tomorrow :)
The food was amazing. We had a pastie, feta and spinach pie, and chicken and mushroom pie. For afters we had the strawberry and rhubarb cake. All were amazing. Prices are very reasonable. Would always come back when in town.
I called in to DD's this morning first thing having never even seeing it before and was pleasantly surprised to find despite just opening everything was fully stocked. I only had a coffee and an apple and almond slice and it was lovely. It was also very reasonably price. I sat outside in one of the twin seats and before I knew it, the place was very busy, which is always a good sign. If you're in the area, call in.
This cake shop is absolutely amazing and I mean amazing we were lads travelling wales mountain biking and came across this by utter chance. We are even planning to return in a day or so 100% recommend 👌
What a wonderful, charming little bakery! Food=Fantastic, Service=Fantastic, wife & kids delighted. Wish we weren't just passing through or would definitely be back (probably daily)

Saw this place online, pics were so good that we thought we would try it, lovely customer service (nothing was too much trouble) gave you what you wanted no questions asked (on food choices) reasonably priced and the sandwiches, salad bowl, doughnuts and sausage rolls all get 👍👍.

Last summer, our tour of the UK led us -a french family- to many lovely places but this was maybe the greastest of all: wonderfully welcomed despite our lack of knowledge of the plentyfull variety of food offering -thank to all the customers behind us, so patient ! - we came out with delicious sandwiches which gave us strength and put a smile on our faces.
