Really nice place, great setting. We had a fabulous meal here, lovely food, good prices. Good range of drinks, wined and ales. We hadn't reserved, but despite it being busy, we were able to get a table. Great service from start to finish, very clean throughout, toilets outstanding clean, and open to the public, you don't have to purchase anything to use them.

After terrible experience elsewhere yesterday we managed to get ourselves booked here for one night. The chap on reception at the time ( didn't get his name) pulled out all the stops and managed to book us in a fantastic room for 4 nights. This is not our first stay here and certainly won't be our last. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the place is spotless and food incredible! Thank you to everyone.

Just stopped off for some lunch and a pint. Food was very good indeed and the service very quick given how busy they were. I suspect the accommodation will be equally as good so would recommend giving this place a try.

Our hiking group called in here for lunch on Saturday. It's our 2nd time ,and both times have been good.
It's clean,dog friendly, and very popular. The food is wonderful, and a pot of tea gives 6 cups.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars this time is because they forgot to order our desserts (churros) we waited over half an hour and had to ask them again. When they did eventually turn up, they hadn't put the ice cream on.
Apart from that little issue, all was superb,and we will definitely be calling again .

Lovely dining experience. Staff very friendly welcoming and efficient. Food and drinks were served quickly and were well received by our party of 5. 'Best burger ever! ' Also serve smaller portions for a lesser appetite.
They also welcome dogs.

Hotel room very elegant and comfy, good coffee/tea/hot chocs in room.
Bar, and food was good. Located in a cute town with all you need locally, boots, cycle hire, shops, cafes.

Didn't stay here but dropped in with the family for an early Sunday roast dinner.
We were lucky to get a table especially as we had the dog with us.
A nice beef dinner, the roast potatoes and veg were a bit under done but we all ate what we had.
I enjoyed my Unicorn bitter.
Very nice, helpful staff made for a pleasant evening.

Absolutely fantastic. The food 👌 I had gammon chips and peas the gammon wasn't your usual small piece it was half the size of the plate plate and thick 😀 so good 4 of us were eating and drinking really good price 👍going back definitely

A lovely restaurant/pub located in a quiet town in Wales. Super dog friendly and all the staff are so lovely. The food was incredible and the drinks refreshing. Will most definitely be returning on our next trip to Wales!

We had Sunday roast at Royal ship on the way to Snowdon. Delicious roasted beef and turkey. It was really busy when we arrived around 1.00. It is better to pre-book a table. The only suggestion we have is to provide the drinks before the meal rather than halfway through the meal!. Very easy to locate but parking is a bit tight. We really enjoyed the meal at Royal Ship.

Hotel is beautiful and clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We planned to leave early Saturday morning to climb Snowdon. As we were going to miss out on the cooked breakfast which was included with our room the staff made us both a full pack lunch instead. Very kind of them and was delicious too.
Dinner and drink were very reasonable prices. Meals are huge portions, the Welsh lamb hotpot is a must!!!
Lots of cooked breakfast options and a bar of extras to help yourself too.
Bedroom suites were beautifully designed and very cosy. Was abit too warm at times had to turn radiator down. Shower was super hot too.
not many car parking spaces but we always got one and loads of parking in town.
Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Vegetable Rendang was tasty; the cheese pie under-seasoned but all reasonable value. Cdn't figure why 4 pieces of garlic bread came with a set menu but only 3 a few days later. Would've preferred if there wasn't furniture polishing going on at time food served - the smell did not compliment the food

Nice decor, and staff very friendly and very helpful. However, food perhaps could have been better. Gammon was chewy, and sticky toffee pudding was a bit bland.

I booked this place for a weekend away with my misses, i must say im really pleased with everything and cant fault anything. Very friendly staff and always willing to look after you, as for the rooms we stayed in room 210 and its a good size, very comfortable, very clean and very well looked after. i will defo be coming back Next year sometime! Well done and thanks for the lovely stay.

The night manager with the short blonde hair was very rude and abrupt and the price on the menu and what you receive on the bill is wrong she come to rectify the problem and it seemed that is was such a hard task for her and she didn't even apologise for the mistake and the waiters there don't have a clue, you ask them question and they say I will go and ask the manager it was like they were being breastfed by the manager
