Just had a lovely paella in the Tapas tonight , I thoroughly recommend it ×××.
We finally came for a meal and after so long we weren't disappointed! Steak cooked to perfection served with the best chips ever! Great selection of tapas, the Spanish omelette and the squid rings with alioli were delicious, oh and the kids thought the cheesecake was to die for, we'll be back!!!
Amazing food and friendly staff! Highly recommend!
3 of us had a delicious meal on Friday night. Lamb filo and beetroot carpaccio definitely highlights, but everything was tasty and beautifully cooked and presented. Staff very friendly and helpful too. Will definitely be back
Had another gorgeous lunch here with family today. Loving the new menu. We shared a number of dishes all of which were fresh and tasty. See you again soon.
Fantastic well prepared and cooked wholesome food. Todays carvery did not fail. Lovely helpful staff supports this Bistro. Well done everyone.
Had a lovely meal here last night. Black rice paella was delicious. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The beer garden is fab too.
Great food , good prices and excellent service , highly recommend
Had a lovely night, food was fab
Staff were very welcoming. To all the customers that read this please make sure you leave room for dessert they are to die for
Gorgeous food and great service, highly recommend.
Fantastic 3 plates for £10 deal - amazing food and lovely friendly staff. Just watch out for the traffic warden 😜
We found this place through google reviews and were not disappointed. It's an award winning restaurant for reason. The atmosphere is great and meals are freshly prepared with good quality seafood. We were a group of 5 and they were kind enough to accept a reservation on the day. Lovely Spanish food and wine. Would recommend everything we had - Paella, prawns, squid/calamari and desserts. Free parking less than 5mins from restaurant.
Eating early, on my own, I was a bit hesitant. However, the staff were just lovely and gave me a great table looking out onto the street. The house white wine was perfectly chilled and tasted good, the olives flavourful. I had patatas bravas and a mushroom and prawn croquette - they were both delicious.
This place is definitely worth a visit - highly recommended.
Just had 5 delightful tapas dishes and 2 deserts between me and my partner, each dish was superb and the staff are all very friendly. Shame I don’t live in the area else I’d be back every weekend!
Highly recommend if in the area,
Amazing food, friendly helpful staff despite the fact it was clearly busy. We were staying nearby on holiday and so very grateful we could bring our dog with us. I’m vegetarian and had plenty of tasty options. We had starters, mains, dessert and a bottle of wine - not a bad dish amongst them all!
We came here as a table of four and we were absolutely thrilled with the level of service and quality of food. I simply cannot recommend this place enough. Book in advance, as this place gets busy for a good reason
The food here is amazing and the service is excellent. We booked the night before and were given a very comfortable seat in the window. As there were five of us eating we ordered many of the Tapas dishes on the menu and enjoyed all of them. The croquettes (on special) were particularly good and we also liked the lamb filo parcels. They were very busy and fully booked but the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed. We also enjoyed a selection of delicious cheesecakes for dessert. (we all had a different one: passion fruit, almond, malteser and biscotti). We would definitely come back here next time we are passing through.
Delicious authentic tapas without being generic - some distinctive dishes.
Very friendly and excellent service. The host accommodated our request to eat in the lovely, peaceful courtyard garden, despite everyone else eating inside that evening. He even put the patio heater and music on for us.
Very good value - around £18 each plus drinks.
Will definitely come back and would highly recommend.
Warm and welcoming staff. Tasty, authentic tapas food in good sized portions. Reservation is a must. Would definitely return if in the area again
Incredible meal, food was fresh and flavourful. Would seriously recommend visiting and trying the tapas on offer. Great value for the quality of food on offer
Excellent food and service. The restaurant is always busy with both locals and tourists.
Well worth a visit but best to book.
Seven of us had tapas here whilst on holiday. From start to finish it was all a bit chaotic. Food items were missed and we did wait for a long time for our food. BUT were pleasantly informed about the wait etc. Food was delicious, tasty & enjoyed by all. We were fed and watered and went away happy. If around the area again we will most definitely be booking in.
Really great food! Working away midweek it can sometimes be really difficult to find good food, this place was great. Amazing value for fresh cooked food with really great service!! It’s obviously very popular!
Lovely food and great service. They have covered up their back yard and decorated it to serve food during this difficult time. Thank you for a lovely evening. Highly recommended.
Have always absolutely loved tavern y gader and we visit as often as we can as now living in Wiltshire . We were last here 7 of us last November , and had a great night . Couldn’t wait to visit again a few days ago . Big change for us , where was our lovely friendly efficient waitress Emma , young lads this time that didn’t really know what was going on . The owner was run off his feet and it seemed a bit chaotic. People were given menus when sitting down but not told of items not available until ordering which was a shame as I’m sure some would have wanted them
The menu has been significantly reduced since our last visit with limited tapas , some of the old favourites were available and a few new ones but so many we have had before now not on the menu .
What we had was lovely and great quality , but we were disappointed overall with atmosphere and service . It just wasn’t the same as we have experienced before .
We have heard rumours that it may close which will be a disaster for Dolgellau . Already lost Merionydd restaurant . Which with tavern y gader were two if the best places to eat for something different from pub grub .
The place to us needs an injection of renewed deco especially on the upper area compared to the colourful bit as you come in .
We for one will be gutted if it closes . Would prefer to have a bit of T L C injected and the menu increased again with more of the fabulous tapas especially vegy options like the tempura vegetables and Iberico pork to name a few
I would also like to add that we have always sat in the front and the upper bit is soulless and people get forgotten about . The deco there is very jaded .
Crossing everything that things improve as have always maintained that the tapas have been the best we have had anywhere .
🤞🙏🏾
Nice authentic tapas. The basque chorizo was particularly tasty! Friendly service and good value for money. Recommended.
Four times we have eaten here and the experience has been good each time. Lovely food, very pleasant staff and good ambience.
