Excellent meal of slow-roasted pork belly. Difficult to fault, and reassuringly slow to be prepared and delivered. A lovely a generous portion, and highly recommended. Deserts were perhaps not quite as excellent as the main course, but no matter. Only possible gripe was the comfort of the seating,
Absolutely fantastic food for the both of us today. Very friendly and accommodating staff too. Can’t believe I’ve not been back here in so long. Will definitely return soon! Thoroughly recommended.
Food is great. Better make reservations first.
Food was good, but took a while to arrive. We enjoyed the breaded Brie, and halloumi on salad for starters, followed by a steak Diane and duck breast for mains. Staff were friendly, but often we were both left with empty glasses and in need of another round. The steak Diane dish seems a popular cho
Lovely character country pub visited by Katherine of Aragon! Food favouring English fare & good selection of beers. Great garden with tables & benches to relax on.
Haven’t rated food as just popped in for a relaxing beer in the decent size garden. We’ll worth a visit 😊
Great find. Lovely laid back atmosphere. Food was excellent. Service great without being intrusive. A gentle evening. I don't normally give five stars for everything so had to choose one for four stars. Just slightly lacking in atmosphere.
Been here a couple of times now and both times it’s been fantastic. Service is great from start to finish and the food is incredible. Whatever you have, make sure it includes chips as they are some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Biscoff cheesecake also is not to be missed. Can’t wait for the next visi
Outstanding Gastro experience, don't miss it! Wonderful off the beaten track gem. Cozy and pretty inside, warm friendly staff, wide selection of simply amazing food. Cannot recommend them enough (and their pizza oven will soon be back in action), we'll be back for their Sunday lunch extravaganza ;)
A great gastro pub with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Great British food and best Sunday roast.
Lovely old village pub, good food and friendly service. Limited Sunday menu with few gluten free options but the rest of the week is fine. Will return!
Went for lunch. Great selection of food which was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Very much enjoyed our visit
What an experience. I have never been to this place in my lifetime, and only happened across it due to a recommended shortcut, but I'm so glad I went to see. The food is excellent, the pictures are just us having 6 starters as we wanted a tappas style munch, but they were all fantastic. We are defi
We had an excellent Sunday roast and chocolate fudge cake dessert. It was absolutely delicious. We were warmly welcomed by Fabio who had remembered my request to sit near the fire. It was warm and cosy. Fabio and all the staff especially our server Arabella were friendly and super efficient. The Que
Had an excellent meal here. The serving staff were on the ball and kept us all happy. Will come back again.
A lovely gastro pub, that makes excellent use of the village green to provide extensive outdoor seating. Came for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed some tasty calamari followed by well executed pork belly. This was all washed down by a good selection of beer, which include hogs back TEA.
Stopped here purely at random after our second disappointment at a local farm shop, and had a delightful lunch. The service, from the new trainee to all the other staff was really friendly and attentive. The food, although we only had a main meal, was good and the bar well stocked.
We had Filet Steak and Fish and Chips. Both were excellent. The Steak was one of the best during our holiday in England. The staff was friendly. Had a great time. Thank you 5 Stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
