So glad we found this pub. Food is good, service is amazing. Landlady (sorry I should have asked your name) and her team are friendly, courteous and happy. We were made to feel very welcome. It's definitely worth the 30 minute drive 😊
We went to the waterfront for mother's day yesterday and WOW. The staff welcomed us and showed us to our table straight away. They were polite and welcoming. The service and the food were exceptional. They even gave all three mums a bunch of daffs(what a lovely touch). Were really hoping they are open on boxing day so we can have our annual boxing day lunch there. We'll done all at the waterfront x
We found we were going to be in Diss for a rugby game on Mother’s Day so had to book somewhere last minute. We’re not snobs but like good food and phoned a few recommended places in the area but they were all full. We booked into The Waterfront Inn unsure what to expect. Lucky for us the food was great, staff attentive and service extremely quick.
Amazing pub some truly unique menu options. Many meals and side dishes you don't see in most other places, all delicous. Great food and atmosphere would visit again.
We had a delicious lunch on Mothering Sunday, a treat from our son and daughter in law.

Treated my sister to lunch for her birthday. First visit for both of us. This is such a clean and friendly place to visit. We had a waterside table with a lovely view. The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. Generous portions and great choice. Can highly recommend this place.
We sat out the back beside well cared for petunias, with a view across the water. The staff were friendly, polite and informative. We enjoyed food here. I would recommend the katsu curry and the chocolate sponge. They also have vegan vanilla ice-cream if you can't do dairy. This place is well worth a visit if in the area.
Definitely the best spot in town! Views of the mere can’t beat it! I had the mushroom chili which is veggie/vegan! Was so flavourful! Definitely will be making a return.
We went to The Waterfront today Friday 2nd Feb 2024. We wish to show our appreciation for the lunch we enjoyed .
Whilst I appreciate the menu is generic, our presented food was anything but mass-produced. The kitchen staff really showed their stuff and should be congratulated in having a pride in what they do, as well as their obvious ability.
To a person, the staff were all pleasant, professional and exuded the aura that you were valued to them..
Our meals-fish and chips, and Steak and ale pie were superb, the fish boneless and skinless and pristine-white and cooked wonderfully.
My pie was sumptuous, the onion gravy was salivatingly gorgeous, with the potato mash 100%.
Desserts were excellent, and my wife loved the White Zinfandel.
Complaints and compliments should be awarded on merit only, and by goodness, The Waterfront scored 10/10 today.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a good dinner at this pub in Diss. I had the rump steak skewers and my girlfriend had ham, egg and chips. The meals were reasonably priced and well cooked. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a glass of wine and a soft drink. The setting on the banks of the Mere is attractive and the pub seemed clean and tidy.
We came in tonight for the quiz night, we had food beforehand too. Sadly didn't get any pics of the food but it was really yummy! Fish n chips was lovely. Atmosphere was great, it was most of ours first time visiting but we were made to feel very welcome straight away. We work locally so will 100% be back again. Also really recommend the quiz night. It was great fun!!
Busy little pub at the weekend! You can see the staff work very hard!

We came yesterday for Christmas day lunch and the food was absolutely fab! Everyone of us had a lovely three course meal and the girls who were serving were all so lovely and catered to everyone's needs and very helpful. Would definitely eat there again for normal food and Christmas!
Sandwiches..small plates, burgers! Abit for everyone even if not very hungry! Lots of charity events on which is lovely to see!x

A friend and I were in Diss at the opticians and the Waterfront Inn is opposite...we were looking for a place to have lunch and this was our 1st choice..neither of us had been there before and we were immediately happy with our choice of venue.
The staff were very welcoming.. a great atmosphere and the food was absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious. Will go there again.
