What a fabulous first visit. Welcome was lovely from Emma and the food was yummy. Definitely recommend the buttermilk chicken burger.
Dog friendly too which is a bonus and the were very accommodating with my friends allergy.
A very good experience and will definitely return.
Halloween Brunch with the kids was great. Thank you to Sarah and Amber for thoroughly entertaining the kids and letting me enjoy a coffee and breakfast!
Booked a table for Sunday dinner (lunch) with friends.
Service food and drinks we couldn't of asked for more, everything was perfect, we will definitely be back Thank you. 100% recommend this place.
The food here is exceptional. They do have a dedicated vegan menu but you need to ask for it. I can't convey how gorgeous, tasty and well presented the food was but very pricey (reason below). We both chose the sweet potato and chestnut roast off the festive menu and the Billonaire Bar off the vegan menu. Despite the food being incredible I have only given it 4 stars as their were a few disappointments which could have been easily avoided. We asked for vegan gravy and was told there wasn't any. The biggest reason for a missing star is that as a vegan you cannot take advantage of the Festive 3 Course Meal for £30 as they do not provide a desert. There is only one starter option (soup) and one main course (which was very nice - see photo). I did raise this to the waitress who provided no solution. This meant we paid £20 each for just a main course. I don't know if it is possible to have a dessert from the vegan menu and it be included in the deal but I felt the oversight of the festive menu for vegans deserved 1 star deducting.
We visited with 2 young children for lunch and overall enjoyed our visit, albeit with a few issues.
The pub is a lovely old building and was warm, cosy and welcoming with log fires. There were some decent real ales on tap. Parking outside is free (remember to register your number plate on arrival though to avoid a ticket). It has a 5/5 food hygiene rating.
The food was generally good, and a separate vegan menu was available which was appreciated. Service was a little slow but friendly.
The kids had fish and chips but unfortunately this was basically a mass of batter with little fish inside - they left most of it. The adult fish and chips was better but still very light on the fish I felt. Also, the skin was left on the battered fish which is not my personal preference - I accept some people don't mind this but I always end up scraping it off along with half of the batter! The sea bass dish was well cooked. There was a good 'coffee + mini dessert' option.
The atmosphere was pleasant and cosy. It's clearly a dog friendly pub - there were at least 3 in when we were there, thankfully with considerate owners.
Overall we would return but would probably order different dishes.
An amazing pub, with great service and a really homely vibe.
It is slightly on the expensive side, but it serves really decent food and had a nice warm fire to warm you up after a walk in the countryside.
We had a couple of plates instead of main meals and this was a perfect amount of food.
There’s a small short-stay car park just around the corner, and it’s not far from the train station.
We had such a lovely lunch at the Rams Head! The food was delicious, the presentation lovely, and the service fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to help us. We had been unable to get into our hotel room and found ourselves stuck with all our luggage in Disley, and the staff were kind enough to offer to let us leave our luggage in their office until we could get into our rooms. They even lugged it all upstairs and back for us! We were so grateful and enjoyed our lunch immensely. Would recommend!
The pub is excellent as well as the food. Was let duran on this occasion by the live music. The guy wasn't a great singer and way too loud for the the venue. No wonder so many people complained and left.
This is more of a food destination than a traditional wet led pub. The food has a great reputation but I was here for the beer. I do not like Doom Bar. A very ordinary beer so went for Wainwright as the only other real ale. Very acceptable.
Food was amazing I really enjoyed the only downside was little bit smelly and I think because of dogs friendly.
The food it served were premium restaurant level. We ordered two starter and three mains and all of them were so tasty. The backyard was peaceful and beautiful. Definitely will come again when visit Disley in the future.
Really lovely food. Staff were friendly and helpful, kept coming round to see if we wanted more drinks. We were a fairly large group but weren't kept waiting. Would definitely return.
Great place to eat. Excellent meat selection.
The food & service were perfect. We just had one complaint. We had put a dining club card on the table, the girl asked how much for, we said £120. So she took the bill & card before we’d seen it. Then we she came back she said there’s £10 left on the card. We then checked the bill to see there was a 20% service charge, which had we seen the bill, would have had removed & left a tip. I don’t agree with service charge, it should be optional. Was quite annoyed we hadn’t had chance to be given the option.
Incredibly formidable pub! Beautiful throughout and very warm feel to the place. Cask Marque certificate available to scan. Sadly only one real ale on tap at my of visit but nonetheless this pub is a belter. Highly recommended. Loved it 👌
Fantastic food + fantastic staff = a wonderful experience!
Gorgeous place, with a very pretty, large and well kept garden (and outdoor heaters aplenty). Very friendly and helpful staff too. Delicious food on top. Complete win.
