Lovely pub, full of character. Great food. Visited yesterday after a walk on the Gritstone Trail. Brie and black grape baguette with salad and lovely chips. And a pint of Ossett Citra. Perfect!

Our first visit and will be most definitely be revisiting very soon. After a long cold walk in Lyme Park we stumbled upon The White Lion as our normal pub was busy. Warm cosy pub and a separate dogs room and as we had two dogs was perfect. Food delicious (Pies to die for)& a excellent range of beers so the hubby said. Great band playing which was enjoyable as was played at a level you could still talk. A real wonderful Pub well done to all who work there.......

Amazing food, service and atmosphere and we especially loved the doggy room and doggy dinner! It's a lovely pub and it's our new local even though we live about 40 minutes away! 👍🏼

Despite the best efforts of the railways we made it to Disley. Driven through hundreds of times but only stopped a couple of occasions. Second visit to this pub. Nice and airy with friendly staff. Beer garden to front on busy A6. Large car park to rear. Good Real ale.pub. had an excellent Bradfield Farmer's Blond.

Great food - had the Sunday roast dinner and it was delicious. Can't recommend the gravy enough! Great atmosphere and all in all a nice spot for a family meal out or go to the local for a few. Always spot familiar and friendly faces when there.

Walked here for lunch as was staying at the nearby Albert Hotel. Wasn't expecting much but the poached cod was amazing, as was the scampi and tartare sauce

We had the fish and chips and the scampi and chips. Both were delicious. Proper home cooked chunky chips. The fish was lovely and flaky and inside delicious tasty light batter. Had a couple of pints of Amstel and the whole cost came to just shy of £25. Very good value especially as the portion size was so large.

Lovely friendly, family pub. Had a gorgeous Rogan Josh for dinner which was beautifully homemade. Adey and Elaine make a great team, along with quiz master Ted who is fabulous fun, 5* would give 10* if I could!

We had lovely meals of Cajan Chicken and Roast Beef with all the trimmings followed by 3 different desserts. Ginger sponge, ice cream and a Belgium waffle, non of which over faced or was too much to eat. The bar maid was very friendly and chatty. A good place to go for good food and a good meal.

A traditional pub with a great selection of beer and tasty food. Renowned for its pies (rightly so), it serves a varied menu including paninis and other light bites. It is dog friendly.

Not sure if this has changed hands but we came for Fish&Chips and it was beautiful, we were the only people in but it was midday! Always people sat outside when the suns out. Great pub grub!
