So I entered the competition for a free afternoon tea wondering if people ever really win them and then I did! I went today with my other half and two small boys, although the lay out is a bit unclear we were shown to our table and ordered our drinks and afternoon tea, to say I was impressed is an understatement, it was all delicious and the children's was excellent! Definitely visit again

After winning a FB competition for Afternoon Tea for 4, me and my family went this afternoon. We arrived to find a reserved table all set ready for us. Not only was the food amazing the staff were courteous, thoughtful and very friendly. Thanks GG's your Afternoon Tea was so fresh and tasty with lots of variety, we really enjoyed our visit. Your staff are a credit to you, we will definitely be back for more of the same and to sample your new BBQ & Bar!

Only ever stopped for an ice cream before but yesterday we had a lovely lunch. It was really busy but our food came quickly. The staff were all really friendly and very polite and attentive. The sandwiches were great and the side salad and coleslaw were delicious! We will definately be coming again.

Lovely food served by really pleasant staff and the fact that Boycie had his own doggie menu to chose off was fab. It is definitely a place to go back to to refuel after a good walk with the dog.

Been for brunch today and it was very busy. When ordering we were told it would be 20-30 mins, in actual fact it was more like 45. If something is delicious you don't mind waiting. Well the full English breakfast is one of the best I've ever had. It was piping hot which just reassures you that it is all made fresh. You can tell when quality products are used, the only way it could have been better was if my poached egg was a little more runny. Left feeling very satisfied

I visited Grandpa Greenes for the first time with my Sister for her Birthday as a treat, the service was impeccable, the food was divine, so fresh and very tasty. The surroundings are beautiful, right next to the canal 💕 We had unlimited hot drinks which was an added bonus, the only one nag I had was the wasps that kept flying into the 'igloo' 😅 it is expected though, as they had a beautiful array of fresh flowers inside and flower arrangements and beds on the outside. Overall I would 100% recommend this place, whether it's a celebration or just a midweek treat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We popped here for a hot drink and cake, had the Biscoff brownie which was incredible, so tasty and indulgent. Also had a hot chocolate which was really good. The place was busy so service was slower as a result but once ordered food and drinks came out quickly. There were a lot of noisy kids here, definitely avoid if that's not your thing! But if that doesn't bother you, it's well worth a visit.

I went for afternoon tea with my family, for the price we got unlimited hot drinks and 2 benches full of sandwiches and cakes. The variety is great but as a plain Jane I had to order a separate sandwich which they catered for and included for me. The views are spectacular and natural. Lots of foot traffic passing and options of outdoor seating as well as the igloos we were seated in. Staff checked in frequently and were very polite.

I had a wonderful experience at Granpa Green. The location is perfect, right next to the canal and there is a nice walking path. The service was excellent, we didn't have to wait long for our food and the staff was very friendly. The food was amazing, we had the eggs benedict and the bagel, both of which were delicious. The restaurant is family and pet friendly, and there is free parking on site. I would definitely recommend Granpa Green to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

First time here for me ! Truly is a beautiful 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 place ! Child friendly, free Carpark , dog friendly, seating out side , igloo domes on the canal which you have to book ! Amazing ice cream menu & food menu & drinks ! I seriously cannot find a fault ! What I do like is when a person leaves the table it gets cleaned right away ! Truly is an amazing spot don’t forget they have another spot in Uppermill on the green !

Love this place, it's always busy which can only be a good thing. The place looks amazing, the staff are so friendly, and just looking around to see so many faces enjoying food and drink is amazing. The Ice cream is to die for too. You can walk right down the canal to uppermill, which I believe they have opened another grandpa greens there also. If I had to say 1 little negative, it's probably the parking situation. It's free, so get there early to avoid disappointment.

We visited during the lunchtime rush on a very hot Sunday, we were greeted by Emelia who was very friendly and also working alone in the outdoor seating area at the time. She informed us that there would be a wait as they were busy. She miraculously managed to remember which tables had arrived in which order to ensure everyone was served with as little waiting time as possible. She was shortly joined by another staff member who she quickly briefed, delegating various tables for them to serve and pointing out who had been waiting the longest. All of the food was delicious as always and despite the warning, the wait was actually pretty reasonable!

Recently had breakfast at the bistro in Uppermill, took the family with their 1 year old boy. The food was amazing, best breakfast in the area by far, everything about it was beaut, loved the mini hash browns. Service was superb, the girls were really attentive, even picking up the babies spoon from the floor cleaning it and bringing back before we had realised it dropped. Would highly recommend, and if you have any room after get some ice creams and bakes - loved it.

Fabulous Ice cream sundae, Milkshake, and Vegan ice cream. Lovely location, by the canal, a wonderful little place to visit in Diggle. If you are visiting the area, pop by and try some delicious treats.

We had a lovely lunch here with the kids. The food was great and the staff were really nice. The waitress heard my husband say that I could choose the ice cream flavour (we were sharing) as it's my birthday. When we asked to pay, she explained that she took the ice cream off the bill as a birthday treat which was really unexpected and so nice. She had ginger hair and she was amazing throughout our visit. We visited on a Saturday lunch time which was fairly busy but we didn't have to wait long for anything and the kids loved it.

Nice little place, perfect location when you're walking, we made our way up to enjoy some foods and such. I would say it's on the pricey side depending on your order, would be almost £5 for a bacon and egg sandwich. But found the sundaes reasonable. We spent £31.50 on a Ham and Cheese Toastie, a Coffee and 2 Sundaes. But the Sundae could easily be shared. Everything was very nice. Was a slight wait for things but it was busy.
