A really great couple of days away for my husband's birthday and with the dog. Genuinely friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. Very cool decor in room with a little office/come dressing room leading into modern shower room. The food was delicious. Great coffee at breakfast. Loved it. Thank you.

Very warm welcome and service upon arrival. Good options for guests to eat in either two sections of restaurant split between dog & not dog friendly. The overall menu, quality and presentation of the food was excellent, and our room was perfect for us & our two dogs as we had a separate dressing room and door to leave the dogs when needed. A few hundred yards from the pub were many lanes & fields to comfortably allow us to take the leads off & let the dogs have a good run, that was perfect as it rained on one day. The minor criticism is there wasn't milk in the rooms for tea/coffee in the morning, but blessings was they happily provided a jug of fresh milk each night that we preferred to those long life mini cartons. I can happily say it was a very good choice not only staying there, but not wanting to venture out to eat or drink as it was so pleasant so definitely give it a try too, and we will return, Thanks

We stayed in the cottage for a few nights and visited the pub for 2 evening meals. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially catering for my friends dietary requests! Thanks so much to you all. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Just spent a wonderful evening staying at this lovely pub. The room was warm and welcoming and very comfortable. The dinner was outstanding, as a person who is Dairy and Gluten intolerant the chef went out of his way to prepare a separate meal for me at short notice which was superb. One of the nicest Hake dishes I've had in a long time. Breakfast was also very tasty. The service was first class. The pub is a lovely country pub and the decor suits this style. We will be back.

Astonishingly brilliant! I don't even know where to begin - the list of compliments I have is so long! From the moment we arrived til the second we left we were treated with smiles, kindness and the level of customer service you can normally only dream about. Every single one of the team is happy and attentive and there is a real sense of ownership and pride in what you do, meaning nothing was too much trouble for you. You made us all feel at ease and we loved the fact you joined in our fun. You truly go above and beyond! The venue is beautiful and homely, elegant and welcoming; the rooms gorgeous, the log fire inviting; the restaurant warm, cosy and intimate with its perfect lighting; the food blew us away both at dinner and breakfast; and we had sunshine this afternoon which allowed us to sit in your lovely garden (and we will be back to eat from the pizza oven!) So it's a huge thanks to all of you, from the bar staff to the kitchen staff. My biggest thanks goes to Amy & Sam who were ridiculously lovely and helpful, smiley, happy, kind and courteous! You both ROCK Amy & Sam! All of us can't speak highly enough of you - what you do made the difference. Totally faultless! I truly hope you realise what you do is not 'standard' - what you do is on an entirely different level and I cannot thank you enough for hosting the best birthday I have ever had! xx

Wonderful dog friendly pub with rooms. We stayed 1 night in the Haystack room with our Pomeranian. The staff were extremely welcoming and the food (dinner & breakfast) was fantastic! Great that we could dine with our dog. We are hoping to come back in the summer.

Stayed for one night and had dinner in the restaurant. The room was really clean and comfy. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. There was live music on which I couldn't hear in the room. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were helpful and friendly.

The team were able to accommodate our early arrival which we were very grateful for. The environment was cosy - seemed to be a few different dining areas -and the food was very good and my daughter was delighted with the birthday candle that the staff had presented her dessert with (by prior arrangement)- thankyou! Overall very enjoyable.

Convenient location, great staff, no pub noise in the rooms. Fab breakfast, real fire in the evening, and they know how to make an Irish coffee. I don't like dogs in the rooms/restaurant but that's my preference.

We can't thank the King's Arms staff enough for making our father's memorial event such a special and beautiful occasion. Landlord and landlady Sam and Crystal were superb, paying attention to every detail, and welcoming all of our 39 guests with kindness and good humour. The chef prepared a delicious and imaginative buffet, and chose a excellent range of wines and prosecco. The dining room was beautifully laid up with flowers and candles. The rooms and cottages for those staying over were clean, very comfortable and cosy. Our hosts even laid on a saxophonist to play for everyone in the afternoon! Breakfast and dinner menus were extensive and delicious. Thank you guys - the weekend exceeded all expectations.

AmazIng visit. The staff are fantastic, very accommodating and kind. They offered us a lift to a wedding nearby instead of paying for a cab. The food was incredible, we had the battered haddock and chips & the steak. Both were stunning. Highly highly recommend!

The Kings Arms is both a hotel and a restaurant. We went to the restaurant twice. In the evening for dinner and the next day, in the afternoon for a pizza and drinks. The pizzas were very tasty and made in a wood-fired oven. The service was friendly and attentive, both times. When you eat outside (drinks and pizza), you need to go inside, order from the counter and pay for it there, and then they bring you the order.

Stayed for one night, excellent service & lovely clean, spacious room. The evening meal we had as well as breakfast were both lovely & well cooked. The location was a few miles from Tetbury where we were visiting, it had plenty of parking & a nice beer garden that we used in the evening. A lovely old pub/hotel which we will.use again in the future & as said the service from all staff was outstanding

We had a nice lunch, staff very helpful although did have to wait slightly for the drinks initially. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Using the Butcombe loyality card made it good value. Otherwise I felt some of the dishes were rather high eg fish and chips Ā£18. But we have booked to go again.

Really nice decor. Friendly and helpful staff. They do pizzas in the summer. The pizzasā€™ quality seems to fluctuate. Sometimes it is absolutely delicious and comparable to proper pizzas you get in Italy. And sometimes itā€™s smaller, has less toppings, and has a soggy bottom. Food is usually pretty good in general. The burger and chips are a bit pricey but this is a trendy pub so itā€™s somewhat expected. The menu is a bit limited so I end up always ordering the same one or two items. Strong enough Wi-Fi so when my home wifi broke down, I was working at the pub. They were nice and accommodating and didnā€™t throw me out for sitting there for hours.

From the moment we stepped in, we were met with a warm, friendly greeting. We were looking for lunch in a country pub that was pooch-friendly & could not have been happier to have found the Kings Arms. The food was superb, speed of service first class (possibly the best we have seen for a long time), the beer garden well-maintained but still natural and the ambience & staff wonderful. Very highly recommended indeed - & itā€™s not often I say that about a country pub that is so often trying to be something itā€™s not. Definitely coming back !
