This is what you imagine when someone says "english country pub".
It has a great local community atmosphere, very relaxed, 100% dog friendly, great British food (burgers, lasanga, fish&chips, kids menu, puddings).
There are board games to play too, which adds to the family feel.
We will be back,
What a great place with great ambience. There’s a decent food menu and the drinks are served by very helpful staffs.
Stopped for a quick bite of lunch . Burger and chips .. very nice and cooked just right . Was a little pricey as two of us with one drink each was £42 so not the best value but not off the chart ! Hence the 4 stars.

Always going past this pub but decided to pop in so glad I did staff were amazing brilliant service best pine of Guinness I've had in my life but sadly wasn't able to get food but hopefully next time as well they love dogs here very dog friendly I would give this place more than 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 😎

A brilliant lunch and even though at an unusual time during the women's world cup final it was fantastic. The food was brilliant and the service very good. Well priced and great portions. We will be back for sure.

After seeing the great reviews on Google, me and my boyfriend decided to pop in for a meal. Safe to say we were very impressed. We ordered the baked camembert to start and it was to DIE for. Will definitely be returning just for this haha. I had the chicken and bacon salad for main and my boyfriend

Arrived hungry late in the evening. Well fed even though the kitchen was just closing up. Great beer and a very friendly welcome. Wonderful village pub - highly recommended.

One of my favourite pubs in South Oxfordshire hands down! The staff are super friendly, and are always around to help you. Furthermore, the pub has a great ambience! A+++
A great story of community ownership. Very good food, unpretentious, and really friendly service. We were visiting Basildon Park from London, but looks like we'll have to be back here every now and then just to hang out! We liked the genuine vibe so much we ended up becoming shareholders in the pub
Great little find, open fire, cozy seating and friendly staff. Didn't eat, but simple menu, will go back and try food.
Absolutely fantastic so good we keep going back, staff are wonderful, roast dinner is fantastic, and the doggy dinner well our Steiff just loves it.

So glad this has reopened. Popped in for lunch & wasn't disappointed! Lovely layout & friendly staff. Scrumptious sandwich too - ham & egg mayo. Look forward to going back.
