It is 20 years since we have been to the Pelican. It hasn't changed too much - still run by the same family who we fondly remember. It is still a great pub, fantastic spotless accommodation rooms. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Great memories.
We booked for sunday lunch and we were not dissappointed great selection of veg etc. Lovely pleasant welcoming staff. Good choice of home made sweets and ice cream. Nice to see this type of public house is still around and serving good traditional home cooked food.
We visited for Sunday lunch and a takeaway lunch for an additional person.
Three generations of family run the Pelican and you can tell they are invested in making a success of every element of the business.
The service is friendly and prompt.
The food, delicious, home cooked and good potion sizes.
Good solid pub with a good choice of traditional pub fare. The food was fresh and tasty, the staff were friendly and engaging. And we got to say hello to Bertie the pub boxer.
This by far, the friendliest pub in town and the bestplace for a Sunday roast. Home cooked, generous portions and lots of fresh, locally sourced vegetables. Served with pride and aptly so.
Absolutely fantastic. The owners were really lovely and the food was gorgeous, had the sharing platter and there was loads to eat. Would recommend a visit
We didn't actually stop in the bar for a drink but the lady behind the bar was friendly when showing us to our room which was peaceful, clean and decorated nicely. Would certainly stay here again!
Can't recommend their Sunday roast enough, good food and no half measures, the puddings are just as good, value for money๐๐๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
