Fantastic new manager, Hanna and staff. No more second hand rubbish strewn about the place. Top beer, top food. Smashing. Well worth a visit. �
We had a fantastic relaxing afternoon in the beer garden having a couple of refreshing pints and making the most of the sun. Come 6 pm and feeling peckish,we ordered the mackerel pate and whitebait and we couldn't fault it, The Black Swan is definitely worth a visit,not only is the food amazing the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Very unusual pub with unique surroundings. My sister and I stayed last night for an impromptu night away and we enjoyed our night. We find the food excellent but the live music and atmosphere is the best I've experienced. Not sure about the room....it's definitely not to everyone's taste but overall loved our time there. The breakfast was fab

Best meal in Devizes so far. Roasts all around. Arrived on time and not overcooked- just right. Service was good...very flexible with friends that were late. Stayed at the table from 1.30-7pm as the atmosphere was perfect for a frosty afternoon. Was not rushed by staff. A lot must have changed from bad reviews from the past. Great beers and house red was spot on. Just wish they were in Marlborough instead of RS

Enjoyed a Christmas meal last night as part of a large group in the upstairs function room. The food was delicious and service was great. The unusual decor makes for a very atmospheric venue. Thank you Black Swan for a fantastic evening!
Only went in for a drink but sat by a lovely fire place on a comfy sofa. Our son played board games that were on the table, it was great.
Will definitely go back.

Booked a day in advance with my wife for a birthday meal. Arrived on time . We were met by a very pleasant lady who pointed us to a lovely table looking out to the market square. We both had the flat iron steak. And both were amazing. The pleasantness of the staff was impeccable and the service we received was extremely good. We would highly recommend the black Swan Devizes
Arrived on a wet Wednesday afternoon to be warmly greeted and shown to our room. The room was very clean, warm and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable.
We had our evening meal there too. A great choice on the menu made it hard to decide. The food was really tasty. The staff were very happy, friendly, attentive and enhanced our stay.
I woud definitely stay here again.
Stopped off with an old friend for a light lunch. Beautiful lamb brioche bap 'sandwich' was a meal in itself, washed down with a pint of IPA. My friend had beef bap and a pint of 6X. Must try the mains next time I come. Have already recommended to a friend who has recently moved to the area. Really impressed with the standard of food, the atmosphere and location.
Came for a meal with my wife and we had a great time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was awesome and well presented. Would highly recommend.
Stayed here as a night stopover from cycling the Kennet and Avon Canal, very accommodating with bicycles!

A short drive from Bath, The Black Swan is an absolute charm. We stayed for 2 nights in a standard room.
The building is a lovely Georgian terrace with distinguishable features.
The location is great. Spent time sat in the window people watching.
Breakfast was high quality and ample.
We only planned on having dinner one night, but as it was so good, we ended up having dinner both nights!
The thing that really made the stay was the staff - they were professional, personable and friendly.
For the money, the experience was faultless.
Popped in at short notice early on a Thursday evening, we were greeted straight away and although busy they managed to squeeze us in. Our server was professional and attentive and got us our drinks within minutes of being seated and with one of our parties dietary needs was helpful and informative about alternatives. After ordering our meals arrived very promptly and were well presented and mouthwatering delicious it was no wonder that when we left the place was packed out. We will definitely be back.
Yet another perfect Sunday lunch. The restaurant was absolutely full, yet the service was spot on. Two of our party ordered the roast pork ( stunning roast spuds !) And I had the cod with chorizo which was utterly delicious. The team here really know what they're doing - Hats off to the chef.
An amazing place- loved the decor, incredibly cosy and clean room, and the food was the highlight for me! This place is a real gem for Devizes and the area and well worth staying at or making a special trip for a meal- it does not disappoint. The team were really friendly and professional. Cannot recommend enough!
Found by accident. Pulled up in the high street looking for somewhere to eat. Walked in and they opened an area for us. Small but quality menu. Some unusual dishes. We had starters and main and both were excellent. Slightly unique spins on traditional meals. Great use of ingredients and best meal for a long while and we have a few !! Staff and service were excellent. Give them a go. If we are ever back in the area we will be back.

Nice place, but far too HOT in the winter. Only other complaint was the live music - it was deafening to say the least. Make your teeth vibrate kind of level. This was a couple of years back now. Nice place and staff though.
We popped in yesterday for a quick drink, we asked if it was possible to book to eat, the staff were so friendly and we were seated within 20 mins. The food was absolutely suprerb! We waited a bit here and there and the staff were always so polite and apologised that we had waited a bit, but the wait was worth it, great food, beautiful pub inside and out, the oldest pub in Devises! Really excellent food could not fault. 10/10.
We enjoyed our stay here although we thought the rooms were expensive. Staff are really great and the food is good. Very clean and comfortable.

A lovely pub with rooms in the quaint town of Devizes. Good beers, well kept Guinness and very tasty food,well prepared.
Food was really really decent, 5 adults all loved what we had. Great service. Bit over priced. Unfortunately though the cleanliness of the floor was pretty disgusting, my black coat was over the back of my chair and unbeknown to me touching the floor, when I put it on at the end of the meal we all could not believe the amount of dog hair, dust/dirt all over what had been touching the floor, it wasn’t just me neither, one of us had a baby who dropped a teething toy (so wet when dropped) when it was picked up it was covered also in dog hair and dirt. Over all, a nice place to be, with great food and service but that floor had not been cleaned properly in some time.
