Perfect for those doing king Alfred way bike ride. Super helpful, was able to hose the bikes down and they were happy for us to store them in our room. Pub grub excellent also (steak & ale pie!). Service really good!!

Great family rooms and friendly service. Good range of real ales and pub food. Only comment would be that the sausages could be better. Otherwise it is a dog friendly pub which creates a nice atmosphere but does mean you have to watch where you step in the garden...

Stayed here while I was riding the King Alfred's Way trail. The room was great and a welcome place to relax after riding all day. Dinner and breakfast were good as well.

Lovely. They were happy to do an afternoon tea for a small group at 4.30 in the afternoon, the Sandwiches were great and the cakes were scrumptious, delicious in fact. Highly recommend trying it out.

Had lunch here today with my daughter and granddaughter just chicken and veggie burger with chips. It was very nice and served hot, perfect!!! The young lady that served us was really nice even though she was rushed off her feet serving tables and the bar.

Now THAT'S a Sunday lunch! Lovely traditional pub with plenty of seating, well priced and really friendly. Carparks on the small side but there is a public one opposite. Highly recommended!

Great pub, we had a large family pre Christmas meal and enjoyed the experience, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was a little slow to come out but the quality was worth it. The only negatives I have was there was only one highchair when we booked 2, the staff were unable to find the second one and were apologetic but was a bit of an inconvenience having to hold a baby while eating. And the final issue was there was a fair amount of dog poo in the garden area that 2 of our family stood in. But all in all a positive time

We have just come back from a family wedding weekend and chose the Green Dragon as it was a perfect location to the nearby wedding venue. I absolutely loved it there. We had the family room which was extremely spacious and comfortable opening out straight onto the garden. We had breakfast both mornings which was delicious and freshly cooked. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the pub dog was very cool too! I would definitely go back. Thank you Debbie and the team.

A roaring log fire and thoroughly decent beers. A bowling alley and function room. On site accommodation to a renewed standard. Quality meals at reasonable prices. Staff that are helpful and cheerful led by a landlord who understands how to run a properly decent village pub.

Apologise for delay, almost a year since our visit and stay with you. I hope Deb's is still running this wonderful pub/hotel. Some people say, it's like being at home, it was better than that. The meals are exceptional our family room was so relaxed. All people working here are affable, friendly with valued conversation. Our visit was to treat our little girl Maisie with a trip to longleat. My wife Sarah is a wheelchair user, and the only thing we would change would be the push on stones to the accommodation. (There may be a pathway now) Has to be one of the best locations we have stayed. So sorry for our late review, some very bad times and events hit with us in this past year. Oh yes we won a raffle prize . Lovely sausages, great taste And great memories. A pleasure to meet you, and experience that very special atmosphere. Ivan Tilman.
