Had a lovely Sunday lunchtime carvery with the family. Very friendly and the food was great. Very quiet which is a great shame that such a lovely pub isn't better supported.
Nigel and Lorraine hosted our Morris dancing team for the evening and we loved it. Great food, excellent selection of drinks and very generous hosts. Hopefully we can make the time to come back again!
This pub has it all with loads of history, character and of course great food and beer. Nigel and Lorraine are outstanding hosts!
The manager Tony Tequila is a lovely guy and his food is top drawer at reasonable prices the barmaid Hannah is very friendly an welcoming overall a very good experience thank you both..
We were visiting the village and booked a table for two for dinner not knowing anything about the pub. We were met by very friendly staff and given a table close to the woodburner and made to feel welcome and comfortable. We ordered the pork loin and a burger which were both ample and very tasty.
The locals were also friendly and cheerful and we enjoyed our visit and returned to our Airbnb cottage happy and replete.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and service
Had a wonderful lunch here today, there was 3 of us and we were all blown away by the value and quality of the food. The lemon roulade was the best dessert I've ever had! Very nice and very attemptive staff, the building is beautiful, but could use a little tlc. It's a wonderful place though, we will definitely be back!
Pretty cool old pub, very old infact...
Good food and well priced with a selection off beers/ spirits and hand pumped ales. Would happily go back for dinner and drinks.
4 of us dined here sat 13th August food was excellent, staff very friendly especially the cheeky one service very good . Garden little pods lovely and even gave us a lift back to our hotel, exceptional
The food was beautiful, scallops and terrine starters with lobster and steak & tiger prawn main courses. The service really couldn't have been faulted. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed and the hospitality was brilliant.
Although we arrived late for lunch the lovely staff still accommodated us with a lovely meal. Very welcoming. They even opened up the beer garden so our dog could come aswell.

Went to the pub today and had some lovely food for lunch. They have really made the effort to adhere to social distancing guidelines and felt very safe. We had a lovely time and food was delicious. Would 100% recommend !

Such a lovely place to visit. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Food is fantastic and Sunday roast.... well I couldn't have cooked one better. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome. Will definitely be seeing more of you. Keep up the good work your doing a great job!! I would give you 6 stars if I could!
