A friend who knows I like traditional pubs where good ale and conversation take precedence over background music and TV recommended this. I was not disappointed. As a solo traveller I was made to feel at home. There was a good selection of beers reasonably priced. Traditional cider as well.

Proper pub in old school terminology. Unfortunately the ale I called didn't pull through, which left just a Palmers (red copper?) and the Bass on. Chose the Bass (without the drums 😉).
