Highly recommend this fantastic village pub. Had the sharing steak platter .... Wow really enjoyed. One of our party had the Hunter's chicken, also delicious.
Just excellent! With the landlord Richard in charge for 20 years it’s no wonder he has the right formula for a successful pub business. Good food, great service, friendly locals and atmosphere. We stayed a couple of nights in our Motorhome on their CL site next to the pub garden. Loved it.
Great village pub...(no TVs etc,) did not have any food ...but menu looked pretty interesting.. check out the pubs web site for fish and steak specials...
What a fabulous pub! A beautiful building, wonderful location and great food! Customer service was above and beyond - both on the day and after! When I realised, 2 months after visiting that I'd left my jacket there, they located it, packaged it up and sent it to me. Brilliant!
Our 2 families with kids walked in just after the kitchen has closed and the kids were playing by the stream at the back of the pub when the landlord came over to us with a big plate of cakes for all of us. This was such a kind gesture and completey took us by surprise. The kids were so happy to see
Salmon “special” x2. Superb😋 Melt in middle chocolate sponge ; not so keen on the ground almonds in it. Black treacle sponge tasty. Beer and cider both VG Lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! !!! We were refused at Marsden pub, not taking walk-ins, we drove round to find another. AND WHAT A GEM!!! Food was superbly presented and prepared, huge portions, arrived promptly. Price excellent, menu selection ditto. Plenty outdoor seats, quiet, REAL country pub. There are
Came across by chance, but what a find. Best fish and chips we've had in ages!
Four of us ate here on Saturday evening. Our dog was welcome, the staff were friendly, humorous and polite, the beer was well kept , and the meal was amazing. Overall very good value and so refreshing to leave a venue without any reason to feel disappointed…..next time we are on the Canal, we’ll be
Food was incredible! Surprised that the kitchen closes at 8:30pm on a Saturday and the bar man seemed a little keen for us to leave at 10pm (we didn't) but other than that it was a lovely evening out and we'll definitely be back
