Incredible service. The team were really kind to us even though we were a large party and a bit late arriving. The food was delicious. I had roast pork which was so tasty. The desserts were also lovely, particularly the rocky road tart! A really nice place with quality food and excellent food. Highly recommended.

We visited Sunday lunchtime with our little dog. We had a very warm welcome from the landlord and his team, and this excellent service continued throughout. The Sunday menu offered dishes other than a roast which is what we both opted for. The ribs were meaty, juicy and very tasty, the salmon full of flavour with a great sauce and accompaniments. We shared a dessert which we regretted as it was so delicious! The wine was perfectly chilled with plenty of choice available for all tastes. The beer and gin selection was extensive. The landlord suggested a lovely local walk to take our dog on afterwards which we did and she reported that she had a great time bounding around the fields! We will definitely come back to this hidden gem and highly recommend it.

A lovely surprise to find such a quality atmosphere, food and service tucked away in this picturesque village. The staff are really switched on. The location is relaxed. A light and airy restaurant with a well stocked and presented bar.

Fabulous food and made to feel very welcome by the staff... we were a fairly large table and yet both the food and service were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable 😁

A lovely village pub in a beautiful and quiet village. Very clean inside, lovely friendly and fun staff. The meal was super and I feel, fairly priced. This is definitely worth a visit and we will be going back again. No negatives at all. Many thanks for a great evening.

This was probably as good a pint of Timothy Taylors as I’ve ever had. The food is always excellent, the scotch eggs are magnificent. And the deserts are out of this world. Highly recommended.

Interesting menu, great food and lovely service from the proprietors. Had lunch mid week so was quiet and loved the crab and lobster tortellini special.

Exceptional food, wonderful service and great value. Thoroughly recommended. I visited with my wife to eat off the Christmas fixed menu and the value for money is superb given the quality of the food - £24.95 for 2 courses or £29.95 for 3 courses. We had scallops with crab fritter and quail 3 ways for starters - each element perfect and delicious sauces and chicken and venison for mains. These were beautifully cooked and presented and again the most wonderful sauces. The service was quick and friendly and they managed to accommodate us into the main restaurant at short notice. They also have a very wide range of gin and tonics and a gin cocktail my wife selected came presented with candy floss, which was an added bonus for here.
