I can't comment on atmosphere as its a take out chip shop. This place is top notch the best chip shop. Good sized serving prices are good and the food is excellent. Gluten free on most stuff [please check menu] highly recommended
Donagheys is definitely the best chipshop in derry. In nearly 10 years I've never had a bad takeaway from Donagheys. Consistently excellent 👏 👌
I can’t recommend Noel, Lorraine and all the staff at Donaghys enough. At the weekend we placed a massive order for guests at my birthday party. The food arrived piping hot and it was delicious ! They even cater for people with gluten intolerances.

We are only in Ireland for a few days and when we googled fish and chips it told us this was the best one. And it was not wrong! Probably the nicest fish and chips I’ve ever had and very generous portions

Best fish in chips in Derry. Might be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, not just in terms of quality but portion sizes too.
Unfortunately the food I wanted was unavailable but third choice was satisfactory and edible. However was totally let down by the service this time. Staff were mid conversation and although the shop was empty it took the lady 5 minutes to actually engage and take my order and even then pleasantrie

Got fish chip from this place opened box and nearly swallowed my tongue with size fish which was best I have had long time worth coming from omagh to get it

Since my last review, i can say that my opinion on there food has definitely improved. I can say this because i have eaten from here a few times since my last review. AMAZING to see as i have been coming here for years since I was diagnosed with celioac disease.....

5 star food, Expensive but worth it, simply loveley food. The app I do think needs improved, doesn't tell you delivery time till after you order and no option to cancel.
