This was a lovely pub to go drinking at, well-decorated on both the inside and outside! The lights and vintage elements like bookshelves add to the interior, as for the outside that is mostly the colours. The people working are friendly and full of humour, good value well-kept ale & cider and quick service. Some "colourful character" customers now & then but that just adds to the fun! 5-stars, well deserved.
One of the best National Trust properties we have visited. So much atmosphere and the whole team of guides are so welcoming and knowledgeable.

Me and my friend come here 1 to 2 times a month and the staff are lovely. Sophie is amazing very kind care person all I can say is keep up with the hard work!!
Its a 'Spoons and we love them. There was a bit of confusion over our order as the app took the order and then the staff said they didn't have the ingredients. So we amended the order to accommodate the lack of ingredients and then they asked for 35p more to cover the revised order. And wanted p
Been in today just want to say staff were really friendly and food was fantastic. Came out hot and fast. A lady called Amber served me behind the bar who was very friendly. And Sophie who served the food. Both very polite and very professional. Will be here again
Decent food bar staff on point. Team leader of the staff was mint crack willing to engage in conversation unlike some spoons. Bar manager was chatty but busy. Nice food good atmosphere. Charles is a local don't be put off with his dementia absolutely lovely bloke. Would pop in again.
Great! Visited later on in the evening midweek and it was nice, chilled out and of course incredibly cheap. Probably the cheapest round in Derby… we will be back for food too! *edit: Breakfast is spot on, served hot and is super cheap, cheaper than usual. Toilets are also super clean.
A fairly typical City centre Spoons. Busy. Large bar. Great service.
Lovely attentive staff. Nothing was too mush trouble they were very helpful. Food was really nice and great value for money. Would definitely visit again.
A very nice pub in Derby city centre, spacious and quite popular with locals and visitors.
