I generally do not eat out in Derby, due to the lack of quality in food i have experienced historically, as well as service. However I visited this eatery over the weekend,during its most busiest period. We appreciated there would be a wait, however we were happy to wait. On arrival We were welcomed in a great manner, the gentleman was very warming and he also took our order. We admired his enthusiasm he bought to the business, his knowledge regarding the food on the menu was credible. We asked for recommendations etc and did not regret this. The food arrived and we were very impressed with the presentation. We ordered the Hot shot Parmesan, the beef burger, Chicken Pasta, BBQ wings, steak. The food was full of flavor, very appetizing. The wings and the steak were very succulent, mouthwatering. Overall i would rate this establishment a 10 if i could. The service to the food to the decor was impeccable. I would most defiantly be recommending to all Family/Friends and shall no doubt be returning very soon! It most certainly baffles me that Derby has been yearning for a decent place to eat, you get one and all they do is complain about ridiculous things! GIVE SOMEONE A CHANCE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have travelled all over India and had many masala dosas which I love and the dosa here was absolutely fantastic. Definitely will return and can't recommend highly enough well worth a visit also very friendly service thank you

I was out of town visiting friends in derby and was chanced with visiting the opening of this fine establishment The steaks are of a very fine quality I had an Angus rib eye cooked medium and you could definitely taste the quality. The burgers were very nice too could do with some neating on the presentation The owner habib is well informed on obtaining quality supplies The decor is very well done nice spacious seats and windows allowing plenty of light and viewing space and friendly staff I can only think the negative reviews are from fake accounts or someone confusing a steak establishment for a fried chicken shop

Tried the Idly Sambhar, idly vada and masala dosa. Great taste. Pretty authentic. Warm staff. Quick service. Nice ambiance. Highly recommended.

Went to this place on a whim, and couldn't help but to go again. A halal gem in derby The waiting staff seem really attentive when you walk in, however most of them look new to the role so are yet to master the art of serving. The décor is fresh and well done. First time we went, we got burgers. They were nicely presented and well put together. Taking a bite into the burger we realised it was just average, the patty was a little bland and tough in places. The bun also started to fall apart when you got half way through the burger, likely due the amount of sauce added. The only real complaint about the burger is the onions were not fried, rather they were splashed with oil and put on the burger. A good experience non the less. Day two. Having had a good experience the first day we decided to go and try some actual food this time. We decided to go for steak, expecting the food to be average based on the day before. The service this time was a little slower, maybe because it was a little busier, or we had a table in the corner. Not an issue as the food was served promptly. The steak came, it looked delicious and was pleasantly presented, although I think inspiration was taken from elsewhere. It was cooked just how I asked for it to be, some places often overcook steak, Manzo's is not one of them. Taking a bite, the meat was fresh, and succulent. The side veg and mash was cooked to perfection, simple stuff, but it can be done wrong. The sauces were simply delicious, not too watery or thick - just perfect. The chef knows everything has to be seasoned to make the food taste good, and it was, something that often gets neglected. With everything said, this place is light on your pocket and heavy on flavour. A place you must try if you are in Derby. Got to be 4 stars for now, when the service gets better it will definitely be a 5!

Nice and clean interior. Fast service, friendly staff and the food was very nicely priced. Well worth the money, will be coming here more often in the future hopefully.
