Very good fish and chip takeaway. Food is good. Although having to still queue outside is a turn off. Covid is generally over and queuing outside in the cold is not pleasant. I do go elsewhere now unfortunately.
Honestly, it’s always a pleasure going and getting dinner from the Oakwood fish bar. Great food, at great prices and the staff are always wonderful.
Probably the best Fish & Chip shop in Derby. I have never had bad service ever in the years I have been a customer. Well done. JS.

Excellent Fish and Chips always look forward to my weekly treat. We've been going to Oakwood Fish bar for 20 + years and I can honestly say it's the best it's ever been. The fish is nice and thick and chips are very tasty and not greasy. There's always a queue at the weekend so everything is cooled fresh.
Very nice chip butty. But the lunchtime I went some of the chips where just slightly under cooked. Hence 4 rather than 5 stars. Will try again to see if it was just a one off.
