The restaurant is really rustic...its basically a large food court... There are individual stands with different kinds of food and drinks. All you do is order your foot and drinks and tell them your table number, and they will bring it to you... This is a great place for larger groups... When everyone orders different things and then you can share and sample everything... A brilliant first experience...

Visited for the first time yesterday evening.A fantastic idea,8 independent food and drink units surrounding a seating area....so much choice. You walk in,find a table, wander round deciding which of the goodies you want, order and pay and each unit will have your order sent to your table! Lovely food and drinks, great staff, the decor suits the building very well and there was a fab atmosphere.I'll be back and i highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't tried it yet!

Great little place! We had a great time here on Thursday night, really helpful and friendly staff, nice atmosphere, not very busy and the food was top notch If you are unfamiliar with the premise, there are multiple ‘stalls’ inside the main building, you pick a table (and note your number), the waiter/waitress brings you a menu and you choose from one or multiple stalls, you then go to the stall you want to order from, give them your table number, pay for your food and they bring it to you when ready. I had the scotch egg (which was incredible, and disappeared so fast I forgot to take a picture!), the plain burger with bun with Samphire salad and kimchi ketchup which was incredible. I also had a hot brownie with iced cream for dessert from their dessert stall (which had a good variety of cakes (which you can have hot or cold, with or without cream or custard) and ice cream/sundae’s Really really nice place and well worth a visit. Cons: Some of the food ran out so we couldn’t have everything we wanted The (men’s) toilets were apparently a pain to find

An excellent idea that's been really well executed. Multiple 'craft' food outlets and bars all share one building and one 'dining' area. Excellent range of food and drinks in a really nice building, not exactly cheap but the food is far better quality than most places. A really good and welcome addition to Derby.

Chocolate Alchemy serves the most divine Hot Chocolate and Cappuccino and the cakes are delicious. All of the stalls within post house are definitely worth sampling, the Derbyshire breakfast is worth the wait...extremely delicious. Friendly staff and great service.

Amazing place! My husband and I can never de use where to eat so to come across this little gem was fabulous As we got to choose from different independent vendors. Best food I ate all weekend and we'll be back next time we're in Derby. I can HIGHLY recommend the Halloumi Flatbread from The Palfrey Stand 😋😋😋

Excellent use of an old building. 8 well thought out, independent, local artisans under one roof! The aptly named bar - "Sorting Office" had a great, passionate owner and staff. The Burgers from Bohn were very filling and delicious, and the pizza was great, having an impressive menu, with the option of adding your own toppings. The atmosphere is trendy, with an industrial chic style. Seating is informal, inviting guests to sit amongst strangers. This is the kind of business (and the 8 businesses within) that makes Derby so great.

Provides a good variety of market stall eateries and drinks. Order at the particular stall and the food is served at your table of choice. The room design has a good atmosphere whilst allowing for conversation and perfect for group outings. Staff are very friendly and food stalls are flexible with your requirements should you wish to modify the menu on offer. For the sweet tooth there is plenty on offer as deserts and a dedicated cocktail bar.

We had a great meal at the Post House this afternoon. It's not the first time we've eaten there and it's always been good, except for the time I was tempted by the vegetarian place. Initially we were a little disappointed that only two of the kitchens were open, but it was a Sunday afternoon so I guess that was understandable. However a good choice of food was still available. I was pleased that the pie consession had a special on of jerk chicken with rice and peas, which was excellent! We've met the owner a few times, big personality and always welcoming.

Interesting idea this - several different food vendors and a couple of different bars all under the same roof. I had a fine pizza and a good beer, there's some other options worthy of exploration. A good mid session option if there's a few people who want different things, but under normal circumstances I'd personally still prefer to just go to a regular eatery to be honest.

Nice place with a quirky concept. It's a pub but with individual stands inside which offer different wares . One is a coffee house, one is a pizza house, one is a burger house . There is a normal bar and a cocktail bar and there is also a French food place in there. You just take a seat and remember your table number then go to whichever stall takes your fancy and order your food which will be brought to your table when ready . Takes a bit of getting used to but is a good idea . If you have a large group then this place should cater to all needs so everyone is happy . Please be aware that your food may not all come to your table together depending on how long the food takes to cook at each stall. Overall a great place with a great feel to it .it is also child friendly I recommend you try it out .

Great pies! Lovely airy feel to the place with friendly attentive staff who actually care about what they're doing and creating something good. Nice atmosphere for meeting up with friends and enjoying a coffee or lemonade with mango sorbet, trust me it's refreshing and tasty!
