The Crust........Sorry to all the people who think they've had the best pizza and have been here. LA PIZZA serves the most perfect pizza ever. The crust steals the show here. It has an amazing crunch to it and is packed with flavor .... Napolitan style pizza! Best food, best service, great staff!!!
Quite possibly the best pizza I've had in the UK and as an Italian, well half Italian, I've had many a pizza.
My husband and I couldn't get into a favourite restaurant of ours on a Saturday and after a few drinks decided we would try La Pizza. They very kindly let us have the only table available and we got ready for our pizzas.
I must admit when they arrived, even though they smelt great, I thought the crust was a little burnt.
Who cares though when the pizza tastes that great, very authentic, close to pizzas I've had in Sorrento and Naples plus the crust turned out to be very nice! The mozzarella was very good but for me, it was the tomatoes/passata used for the pizza base that made the real taste. This, without a doubt made the pizza for us and for those wondering about the slightly soggy part, that's an Italian pizza. Slice it, fold it and get it in you.

I've been into the restaurant to eat and I've had a delivery. The first was a few months ago where after being left waiting and being ignored at Pizza Express we headed to try La Pizza. We loved it! We had a half metre between us which was plenty. This pizza is the best I've had from a restaurant, I cannot recommend visiting enough.
In the last week I decided to take a punt and order through Deliveroo 10 minutes before close. About 30 mins later it arrived and the pizza was warm but not piping (as can be expected) but it was delicious!
If you want the best experiance go and visit, half a metre for £18 is a steal! Especially with the quality. But if you do order it's still not a disappointment.
A lovely place and they make one of the best pizza in UK and the staff always nice and make you feeling comfortable.
Perfect Pizza and great staff! I was lucky enough to win 2 pizzas and two free drinks.So popped along today with my daughter. We ordered and the pizzas arrived quickly. i have to say they were AMAZING! really delicious! We struggled to finish them as they are huge, so we asked for a box to take them home in. This was given with a smile :) The milkshakes we ordered were out of this world!! I have to say i think the salted caramel one I had was the best I've ever had! simply outstanding! I highly recommend going along. The dining room is pleasant too :)
Highly recommend La pizza. Had my first visit yesterday and what can i say the food is incredible!! Real authentic pizza. Will be visiting again. And our friend even got to place his order in Italian. Make sure you book as it gets busy.

Absolutely amazing, authentic Italian pizza. By far the best around for miles! We come often but won a competition for a meal for two, and again service was fantastic, as usual. We really love it here, if you haven’t tried it yet - go now!!! You won’t be disappointed!!
Came here last night with my partner and daughter I had calzone and they had pizza. We all loved it so much better than all the other pizzas we have had they were not at all greasy and the toppings were amazing! Really good size too my daughter had a child's size she is 10 and can eat a lot and she struggled to finish it but didn't want to leave any because it was so nice! The staff were all very nice and friendly too.. would definitely recommend anyone to come here �

Took my kids here last night for my daughters 3rd birthday dinner, and wasn't disappointed.
The waitress last night couldn't have been more helpful and courteous, even though she was extremely busy!
The quality of the pizza is what can only be described as next level.

I love it here. I have never eaten in the main restaurant; however, I have pizza from here as a take away often.
The food is freshly prepared from dough made on site as well as fresh ingredients all prepared right there. Lovely staff who all speak Italian and give you the authentic welcoming and great attention to detail.
Very tasty pizza. Loved the star one like 5 mini calzones! Ran out of basil though which was a shame as my friend wanted the Margherita and we had travelled all the way from Nottingham for the excellent pizza here!
True Neapolitan pizza. Spacious and nice environment. Only place I could find so far in Derby with Neapolitan pizza. Loved it.
Pizza was decent. Couldn't find a chicken option, but maybe wasn't looking hard enough. I had the "Garibaldi" which was a feast of meat! Had to wait quite a while for it though
Very nice pizza but sometimes a bit difficult to digest, especially during the night. Much better than what you can hope to find nearby.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere, fresh ingredients and hygienic kitchen area. Pizzas are made (rolled out and topped) to order and are of high quality. Even a few vegan options, though for those who follow the practise very strictly, the segregation may not quite be enough. Pretty decent pizza sizes and reasonable prices, too. Free parking directly outside, though it is down some steps and at an angle.
Before eating at La Pizza, pizza’s had always just been my go-to hangover cure..however, this place changes everything!
It’s amazing what genuine Italian ingredients, a brick pizza oven that uses fire wood and what a brilliant Italian chef can do! They have a huge range of pizza’s from small ones for children to metre length ones to share (the half meter is only £18)!!, seriously this place stands out!! The dough is fresh and light so you feel full but not sick, plenty of toppings and the service is fast and friendly! Couldn’t recommend this place more! Close to the city centre, gluten-free and vegetarian options and the diversity in staff makes this my number 1 place to go for food!!
Fantastic pizza, true Italian taste, as it's ran by Italians. We had a great time there. Even if the room is quite small, you will feel comfortable, as the music is loud enough to have some privacy, but not enough to interrupt in conversation.
I also advise you to book a table at least one week before, as there may be no more spaces.
Best true Italian Pizza outside of Naples. Fresh ingredients and very light dough base, fresh tomato not tinned rubbish you get from the high street chains. If you want to try a true Italian Pizza then this is the place to go, 10/10
This is a place where pizza is fab-u-lous. I've been here twice and one of the times I shared a metre pizza and that was lovely and big. A special restaurant in Derby. The only restaurant in Derby which does metre pizzas. There is also quality and good timing because I didn't expect a metre pizza to do so good. The only problem was that the same night we were there was a hen party. And they were mad but everyone else was top notch. I think it was just bad luck for us. Not their fault so five stars!
Excellent pizza. To be fair, if the place is called La Pizza you're kind of expecting that, but this was proper authentic wood fired business. Starters were good. Top class service. Reasonable prices. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Great well presented generous food. Food to share inexpensive. Oven looks attractive in window. Cool ambiance. Staff eager to please and substitute ingredients, minor downside menu lacks clarity for vegan / vegetarian options and would benefit from refreshing. Nearby street parking.
