A popular real ale pub with friendly and welcoming staff. A great range of beers including those from the Derby Brewing Company. We also had some of their burgers, which were very tasty and pretty good value. It's also very conveniently located near the city centre
We were one of the first in on a Sunday and they have a great selection of ales and other drinks. What more can you ask for? The roof top area was welcoming so we could enjoy the early afternoon sun.

Really great beer, and an excellent pizza. Prices were reasonable, staff really friendly, and the upstairs seating area was really comfy.
One of the few things of excellence in Derby is the choice of pubs for real ale and craft beer. This one is the best of them.

Excellent selection of alcoholic drinks both cask and keg including tap takeovers/brewery showcases, nice range of continental and craft bottles and cans.
Food is provided by El Contador and is Mexican street food, it's also absolutely superb. The brisket tacos are probably the best I've ever had and you get 3 per portion which is really good value; however, between 5 and 9 on a Tuesday you get 2 portions for £10... which is outstanding value.
The outside area is small but perfectly decent, the roof terrace is good but you can't smoke or vape on it.
Staff are all really nice and friendly.
The DBC app is a genius idea, all food and drinks are ordered and payed via it, it's fast, efficient and should probably be copied by other places.
Me and a friend went out for a drink and passed this brew house and thought, why not try it out. I had a lovely German beer here and found out they serve food aswell so I will definitely go back and sample more of their ales and beers. With the rest of our friends and probably have a bite to eat as well.

The pub is big. They have an outside area too and a terrace upstairs. They have good selection of beers! We had dinner here and the size was reasonable for the price. The bar tender was so nice answering my questions about beers and even offered me to have a taste before I ordered my choice that night. I recommend this place!

The barman had good knowledge of the beer on the premises and of beers elsewhere, clearly loves his job. The hoppy beers we had were all great too.
This pub has won pub of the year previously and deservedly so. Great range of ales, good food and a variety of rooms including a roof terrace that's popular in Summer. Decor is rustic with a modern twist. Enjoy. M

Never fails to have an ale I like, been 3 times in a year and love the place. A selection of 6-8 ales as well as craft and ciders. It's normally busy especially at weekends but that's a sign of a good pub. Don't except camra card only downside. Modern looking and houses a function room

In Derby on a Monday night and fortunately we found The Tap. Great little pub, great beers and good food. Why anyone would go to W********* I don't know. Great service too, thank you.
Love this place! Amazing beers, grab a few half pints and a bowl of cheese. Derby brewing co tour ends here which is excellent! Lasagne is excellent, there is a piano to play upstairs and everyone is really friendly!
