The car park is big and safe. On arrival we were greeted and seated and given menus. We ordered a mixed grill and two house special curry’s, the food really was authentic, tasty and probably the best mixed grill in Derby. The nans were very tasty too. The Carling was fresh and nice. Large spacious interior with good customer service. Will be returning soon,

Heard great things about the curries here, and being a curry lover I though I would come and check it out. I was very impressed, created by a lovely chap behind the bar, and the food was delicious. One of the best curries I’ve had in a long time, I had chicken madras and the wife had tikka paneer butter masala. I can highly recommend this place. Will deffo be back

A good place to be for drinks and Indian food. This place has got good collection of drinks , pool table, live sports and a separate place for dining. They have got very good Indian cuisine both from taste and quantity perspective. I can assure you that you wont be disappointed from this place.

Authentic Indian/ punjabi style food. I am always hoping they will introduce more vegan options on the menu.

It's too easy to only review when your experience is of either extreme of good or bad. I am going to try and stop doing that. The food in here is amazing. Authentic Indian with no bells and whistles just good honest food at very reasonable prices and served quickly with a smile. The staff are both pleasant and welcoming. I would whole-heartedly recommmend for a lunchtime. 5 stars from me :-)

In a diverse area, the pub crowd may be a little offputting if groups of men aren’t your thing, as it can be rowdy due to the sports on. The restaurant side is a little small but clean. The kitchen has an open door so you can smell the lovely food. Everything on the menu is great, you won’t find many authentic Indian places like this in Derby, their butter chicken with masala fries is always perfect. The family that run the pub are great people.

Billy and Jas provided the catering for my birthday party in July 2016 serving 250 guests the same fantastic quality and tasting food that I have grew accustomed to when eating at the restaurant. I cannot leave 250 5 Star reviews but if I could, I would, the feedback was exceptional with family and friends from across the UK complimenting the quality of the food and service of The Chestnut Tree Catering Staff being amongst the best have ever had.

Best Indian food in Derby, bar none! Yes, Viceroy, Anoki, Shalimar are impressive, but the food at the Chestnut cannot be matched!

Best Indian food in derby. It is a pub so can get a bit rowdy in here. Can eat in but wouldn't recommend a sit down meal with the Mrs or family. Better for some grub with the boys.
