Just outside of Derby city centre and opposite the Derby Royal Infirmary, Pepito's is a vibrant and bustling mexican restaurant. It is very popular and always busy, so its probably best to book. As soon as one table leaves, it seems to instantly fill up again! Whether there's just the two of you or you're in a large group, the service is fast, efficient and friendly. The menu is authentically mexican and has a wide choice of food and drink. Starters are tasty like the Wings of Fire, but if you like to share you can't go far wrong with chips and dips. Main courses tend be large and very filling, good wholesome food, with a good kick of chilli. You can even have them spiced up, but I wouldn't recommend it, unless you like your heat! If you can fit in a dessert, there is a small but tasty selection, including tequila cheesecake. If you want a good evening with plenty of atmosphere, you can't go far wrong with Pepitos. If it's you birthday you even get to wear a giant sombrero, while the restaurant sings you Happy Birthday!

this restaurant is great for an authentic mexican meal. The decor is great and the menu caters for all tastes (spicy or not!) the staff are friendly and promote the relaxed atmoshere of the place. Its a great place for large parties or special occasions and the staff will accomodate any special requests. It is alittle out of town and the parking is not great so a taxi is probably easiest, but worth a visit anyway.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. Its the type of place to go with friends, family or as a couple. The menu has loads of choice and can be spiced up for personal taste!! The plates are crammed to the edges with food. Because of the portion sizes it is very reasonably priced. A bit out of town so taxi recommended especially if you like tequila. Excellent place for birthday parties.

We ordered takeaway and the staff were friendly; patient and efficient. Order was processed i Lyn reasonable time. The restaurant felt warm and cosy inside without being too loud . Had the right balance for a private , friendly meal. Price is reasonable. Will be back.On road parking in front or around the side.

Our daughter chose to have her 18th Birthday family meal here and it was amazing! The staff were beyond friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was perfect and the food and drinks exceptional. Having visited many times previously (a long time ago) it's reminded me to visit more often. Thank you!

If your passion is centered around tapas, enchiladas, tacos and other foods, there's no excuse not to visit Pepitos, a superior Mexican restaurant that is approximately 5 minutes walk from the Derby Midland train station. Rustic, budget-friendly décor, a menu of common dishes, pedestrian prices, and dedicated, competent employees make this restaurant one of the most popular places to eat in Derby. The waiter's head was very polite and diplomatic, he easily resolved a situation that I had with a family that didn't appreciate me taking pictures of the location. I had a rather extravagant dinner at the restaurant in October, and I will eagerly return to the city when I'm back.Recommended!

If your heart is set on tapas, enchiladas, tacos etc, there's no reason not to drop by Pepitos, a superior Mexican restaurant that's about a 5-minute walk from Derby Midland station. Rustic, low-key décor, a menu of familiar dishes, civil prices, and friendly, competent staff make this one of the best places for eating-out in Derby. The head waiter was very courteous and diplomatic, and he easily resolved a "situation" that I had with a family who didn't like me making photos of the place. I had an almost too sumptuous dinner there in October, and will happily return when back in the city. Recommended!

I visited Pepitos earlier this week with my husband and daughter. Its such a lovely place. The staff are so friendly and attentive. They were also able to accommodate my daughters dietary requirements which is wonderful. Will definitely visit again.

Booked a table for my partner's birthday and had the most excellent dining experience. The food was excellent and the service matches and food quality. Excellent attention to detail and caring attentive service. Would absolutely recommend especially to those experiencing the loss of MexiCo from the Intu centre. (I was), this is way better! Parking is easy behind the building (free after 8pm) and you will leave full and satisfied!

I believe it to be the only authentic Mexican restaurant in Derby and the quality of the food is sublime. The portions are abundant and the atmosphere perfect. Prices are moderate and staff very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful and romantic.

The food and service were good, nicely decorated. Post covid reopening made the vibe quite quiet but it's definitely the kind of place worth coming back. Wished we could have tried on the sombreros.

Food still good, nice music, service was a bit slow considering there was only about 3 other tables in, the person behind the bar and female server seemed too busy flirting with each other which was pretty inappropriate
