Don't normally write reviews for restaurants HOWEVER last nights meal was that amazing I couldn't help but not! Service absolutely impeccable the waitress gave us the option to sit outside to enjoy the view and then come back inside if we get chilly which was great. Food and drinks were served quickly which was impressive considering the fact they were busy. My sea trout was the best fish I've ever had and my other half had lamb which was unbelievabley tender. In between courses the table was cleaned for us and as we requested the bill, the waitress offered to book us a taxi if we needed one. Will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic meal here for our wedding anniversary last night. Warm welcome, polite staff, clear pricing on drinks provided and the food was outstanding! Best lamb I've ever had. The staff went the extra mile ensuring satisfaction throughout. All serving staff congratulated us, and even bought out a 'happy anniversary' message on our dessert plate, made us feel very special. Thank you very much, we will be back

Well where to start. The food was amazing. Fantastic presentation on the plate. The service was great. Very polite and professional. Made you feel welcome from the get go. Didn't feel like we were being rail roaderd through the meal. They never let you glass get empty. Can't say a bad word about it. I even found some new foods that I like. If I had to give it a mark out of 10 ide have to give it 100 as it was superb and would absolutely 100% go there again and recommend it to anyone who asks.

Beautiful setting, comfortable atmosphere, staff were absolutely perfect. Service is as important as the food at any restaurant for me and the food matched the brilliant service. Excellent quality of food, husband said it was the best main he had ever had (fillet) and that banana soufflé, wow! Will be definitely going back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for fine dining in good portions.

We love Darley’s! My friends and I reverse our next date before leaving and travel here from all over the country for mini reunions! Wouldn’t have them anywhere else now. Superb food, drink and exceptional service. We’re always the last to leave! Can’t recommend enough!

⭐️ We ate at Darley’s last night and what a wonderful experience it was! The food was phenomenal, the staff were polite, friendly and attentive and the setting, despite the torrential rain, was incredible. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or for culinary adventurers looking for new things to try! Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back ⭐️

Lunch. Beautiful waterfront location in Derby. We've not been here since their makeover. They do a set lunch menu. Two course £32 three course £40. Before starters, you are served a Chefs House snack. Followed by warm caraway & rye sourdough with cultured butter. Starters Chalk Stream Trout Kalamansi, crab bisque, melon. English Peas Chanterelle, housemade smoked ricotta, redcurrant. Mains Pan-fried Cornish Cod Kohlrabi, mussel velouté, coastal herbs, confit ratte potato. Rump of Beef Pomme anna, kimchi ketchup, ox cheek, roscoff. £4 supplement. We didn't have desserts as the courses were filling enough. The restaurant looks very smart and modern. Staff were lovely, and the chefs even served some of the dishes at the table.

The first time I visited Darley's Restaurant & Terrace was for dinner. It was a bit of a messy experience, however, it was kind of expected with the restaurant only just reopening after their refurbishment, so an instant review was excused. My second visit was for an evening meal. It was a mediocre experience, with the food being up to par, but I just didn't feel the service was what you would expect from an establishment of this manner. My third & most recent visit was for lunch & our occasion was faultless. The food was very well presented, with a vast amount of creativity put into each dish, with a generous proportion sizes & the finer details duly noted. As for the service received this time round, it really was impeccable. I felt my third experience at Darley's warranted its feature on the Michelin Guide & it's double AA Rosette award. In conclusion; Darley's offers a great view out over the river & the weir. It is a stylish place with eye-catching décor; & if you can, try for a table on the narrow terrace or beside the window on the upper level for the perfect views. If I had had my third experience twice over, this place would be a 5/5 star, however, due to my previous experience, I will have to give this a 4/5 star, however, if my fourth visit is as the third, I will change my rating to a 5/5 star.

Me and my boyfriend came here for a celebratory meal. The feel is casual fine dining, and the atmosphere is lovely. Relaxed but still feels special. We had the a la carte menu, and it’s was beautiful! The beef was so tender and cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly too. We love the decor (classy Art Deco type theme), and having a drink on the Terrance by the water is lovely. Faultless! Will be returning for sure!!

Nice food and a reasonable priced lunch but the marketing could be better. Advertised as a 5 course lunch for £30 which seems OK. 10% is added automatically so you would have to have a good reason to only pay £30. Then the menu they give you say two courses are complimentary! So isn't that a 3 course meal for £33 with complimentary bread and butter and soup? I would rather they just didn't say that two were complimentary personally.

We had drinks on the terrace overlooking the weir first and then The tasting menu. Everything was delicious... it was not so much a meal as an experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. My only disappointment was that we did not have a window seat as we had requested. It was a special treat for a special occasion, I would definitely return.

What a setting. Located on the banks of the beautiful river derwent. We loved the scenery and atmosphere. The food was a little pricey and my starter looked like a crayfish caught from the river but tasted exquisite. Beautiful decor and I'm sure I spotted a salmon leaping down the weir.......how exciting!

Lovely food! Such a nice experience. Staff are very friendly and more than happy to help. Only thing stopping it being 5 is that the bar staff can't seem to get a drink right. Order was vodka tonic and lime cordial. The variations I got were vodka tonic and lime slices. Then vodka and half a glass of lime cordial no tonic. And finally vodka soda and lime. Gave up and had brandy and coke in the end.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere in such a great location. The view from the outside balcony is top notch and worth a visit with a nice drink before or after your meal. The food is excellent in taste and presentation with local produce used where possible. A few more low/non alcohol beers on the list would have been nice for me personally but no big deal. Definitely planning to go back soon.

Incredible fine dining - everything was delicious but very rich which was great for me however my wife would have preferred a plainer set of sides to pallete cleanse. Highly recommended

Dined here for my mother's belated mother's day. The food was lovely although a little pricey but that is to be expected for food of this quality. I'll definitely be returning for other special events.

Wow. First visit since old darleys so a little apprehensive but got to say I think it was better. The food was fabulous, the sort of food you discuss at the end to decide what the flavours were. Great wine and personal service.... Loved it.

Absolutely flawless experience from start to finish, from the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel welcome and the staff were so friendly and attentive to detail. We had the tasting menu and went gung-ho and added the wine flight option which I would recommend… if you’re eating here do yourself a favour and go all out - immerse yourself in the experience… the sommelier is very knowledgable and knows their stuff, so you’re doing yourself a favour. Darley’s has a very relaxing atmosphere - you can tell some money has been spent on giving this place some TLC… we cannot wait to come back here in the summer time and enjoy a meal in the Derbyshire sunshine. I’ll let my photos do the rest of the talking but this is seriously some of the best food I’ve ever tasted - fine dining without the pretentiousness!!
