Just got back from a lovely overnight break at The Farmhouse, & cannot fault it!
The room was amazing! So clean & tastefully decorated with plentiful flavoured teas & coffee machine. The bed was the height of comfort.
The staff were excellent especially ‘scouse’ Joe, who greeted us, checked us in & conversed with us telling is all about the history of the building & explaining all about the refurb.
Also young Joe in the restaurant who was our waiter for the evening meal deserves a mention for his brilliant service & explaining the items on the menu.
The continental breakfast (included in the price) was ample & everything was nice & fresh.
Thoroughly recommend this place 👍🏻

Well where do I start with this amazing venue!!!! Me and my hubby Matthew got married here on the 18th March 2018. I fell in love with the place as soon as we first walked in. The decor of the place suited us perfectly! And we loved 'the folly' and 'library' even more so. Got to give a big shout out to Katie Gordon our wedding coordinator she literally could not have done anymore for us. So friendly, approachable and professional. Very attentive to me in the morning of my wedding putting my nerves at ease. Especially considering the snowy conditions (I did question if people was gonna make it) the farmhouse team decorated the venue exactly to how we wanted it n the Dj kept our guests dancing!!! We had the farmhouse BBQ which obviously had to be served indoors due to weather conditions but I had no problems with that and the pulled pork burger was amazing! This was a lovely food option to help us keep our casual vibe. Having stayed in the hotel room. Got to say it was lovely. Very inkeeping with the decor of the place... couldnt fault our bridal suite. Lastly the views of the countryside are great for photos and am very happy to say we made the most of it.
Overall we are very happy with our experience at the farmhouse - a perfect wedding venue for us. Everything went very smoothly all things considered. I will definitely be able to look back on my wedding day with great memories! And we will visit the farmhouse when even possible!

24 of us went for a birthday meal for my dad's 80th birthday. great place to eat. friendly staff. lovely food
Really attentive staff, made to feel welcome and wanted (which is unique in 2018). The food was easily as good as we wanted it to be, and we can think of absolutely no reason to not recommended or return to the farmhouse. And as a bonus, the pricing is on the side of cheaper than you'd think.

We had a really lovely evening here with 9 of us plus 3 little children. The food was great and service even better. Courteous, professional and attentive throughout. Made a special occasion special!

Really enjoyed our time here. We sat outside as we had our dog with us but it's such a lovely venue.
I had the pizza which was a great size and very tasty. Others had the burgers and they looked lush!
Sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I've had in a long while. Would come back for sure.
Oh and the toilets, lovely and clean and quirky!
Such a beautiful place the room was absolutely gorgeous the staff were so kind and welcoming. The room was so much better than i expected i will add photos down below. The coffee in the room could of been a little bit better with more milk available, the bed was super comfy and the shower was super spacious.
Woke up this morning ready for breakfast the woman who had served us was so kind and understanding of my preference on what i would like taking off my breakfast. The food was perfectly cooked to my and my partners preference, the hot chocolate was absolutely gorgeous and made perfectly.
I would 100% recommend this place to everyone.
Our table was by the window which was very light and airy. The waitress was friendly and attentive without being in your face, in fact she was lovely. The food arrived quickly and we all enjoyed our meals. Overall we had a very positive experience and look forward to a return visit.
An absolutely delightful quaint country pub with magnificent rooms, scrumptious food and a real charm in its upmarket decor. We stayed in the Napoleon suite which was complimented by a free standing Bath and separate lounge, massive super king bed, two tvs, wood burning stove and a elegant bathroom with a gargantuan shower. The staff were pleasant and courteous and the food was divine including the wood fired oven baked pizzas. We would love to return in due course!
Technically one of our locals, we love coming here! Yesterday's occasion was a last minute decision after the flooding changed our plans. We managed to book a table for 8 people including a baby with no complaint from the very friendly team. Staff were brilliant, table was good and the food as always delightful
Booked table for me and my niece. The food was delicious and flavoursome. What absolutely capped it off for us tonight was the amazing service we both received from George. Absolutely lovely guy, who was both friendly and attentive. George your a credit to the restaurant and the epitomy of what great customer service is. Continue bringing the joy and I hope your colleagues and team see you as an absolute standard and benchmark.
Such a lovely Sunday/birthday lunch today. Our server (April) was amazing and very attentive to our table of 7 adults and a toddler. The meat portions (beef, pork, chicken) were very generous as was the mini roast for the toddler. More than enough vegetables were served in large bowls and extra gravy provided upon request. Dessert was delicious with only one of the choices unavailable. We will definitely return.
I have eaten twice recently this time it was for Aunts birthday and her first time she really loved the whole place, scenery from the table, atmosphere and the food was lovely it was great as usual. Also staff are lovely and very helpful. Thanks for a lovely lunch.
The food, service was great friendly staff but the thing was I heard Christmas music twice already and it was September I didn't like that. But other than that everything else was great and would come again.
I was immediately impressed with the area we sat at in the conservatory, tables were spaced well so we felt comfortable to chat over our food. The waiters were very polite and well mannered, they were attentive and gave us extra time to choose from the menu, water was brought out without us having to ask. A lovely calm and relaxing environment which we thoroughly enjoyed and made our meal more pleasurable. The water was changed quickly when a wasp crawled into the bottle and we were checked on during the meal.
