My mate opted for the Champagne Breakfast but I went for the proper trad Full English. We both loved our respective servings. I am HUGELY picky about Full Englishes and I’m afraid I’ve had more bad ones than good: tasteless, chewy bacon, bland sausages, rubbery eggs you could fix a flat bike tyre with. This is all the opposite of the excellent Full English I had at Lisa Jean Brasserie. Everything was perfectly cooked, nothing had been left hanging round waiting for other parts of the meal. Look, you know you’ve got a great breakfast if the flavour of the mushroom alone amazes you. Also, the fried eggs were perfect, no comedy rubber here. Proper beans and both white and black pudding, fried bread and toast. I cannot fault a single element, seriously. To top it all, the venue is lovely, I felt like I was in Poirot, with that whole ‘30s Art Deco feel going on. And the staff were all absolute stars, friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful full English breakfast today as always. Great start to the day - my birthday. Such high quality food cooked to perfection time after time, every time! Hot food, warm plate and excellent, polite service. Love eating here and well worth every penny. We had a couple of lattes also and if I was to really struggle to find a fault, a small one would be that I would like them to be a lot warmer and asked for my second to be hotter, but it may just be their machine as this can be common in a few places I order coffee. This was a very minor fault though on an otherwise excellent food experience. Looking forward to my next visit already! Lisa Jeans competitors are nowhere near on every level.

We took the team here for a champagne breakfast to catch up with an ex work colleague. The champagne breakfast is great value, fabulous food and fantastic service. One small gripe, and I appreciate you’re paying for the ambience and surroundings but I did feel that £40 a bottle was a large markup for the own brand Aldi champagne served that I can buy for a tenner. It did make it feel like the drink was being done ‘on the cheap’, that said definitely still a five star experience and highly recommended.

Excellent staff and food! Called in today for lunch and I must say that this is one of the gems for food in Derby city centre. Great menus with quite a varied choice and great quality food. Staff were great and the chefs prepared the meals very quickly. We'll be back very soon!

A wonderful champagne breakfast was enjoyed. We went for our anniversary and birthday. Balloons and confetti were a lovely touch. Food was plentiful. Would highly recomend and hope to be coming back.

Lovely Art Deco theme. The whole restaurant is on a mezzanine above the shop floor itself (Bennet's Dept. store, next to Slug + Lettuce and Bear on the high street). Breakfast was lovely, generous portions and a great thick sausage! No sniggering in the back there!

Wow, what a lovely place to dine. My server was so helpful and clearly enjoyed her job. Regulars who came to be seated as I ate where warmly welcomed. A great environment and food to boot, Classy!

I went there with my sons for breakfast a few days ago. The food was perfect and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend this little gem, along with the Eggs Royale.
