Great little pub with nice English atmosphere. Tha bar tender was very friendly and allowed me to taste the local brew before buying. She loved my Texas accent. Kitchen had closed before we arrived, but she directed us when we left to another location. Very good location in center of Deal.
What a fabulous new spot in Deal, totally furnished and extended. The owner Sammie is friendly and accommodating …I asked for a Ploughman’s and she asked how much cheese I would like…my husband had a Club Sandwich which he said was the best he had ever eaten. Second time we went I had cheese and
Great to see the Burger Bros back in Deal. The pub is great, really good refurb. Good to see additional vegan options but can't beat the original brother! Excellent selection of beers and great service.
Have been to several of the restaurants in the area on holiday and Sammie and the staff were the most accommodating. I had the chicken club and it was way better than the chicken club I had at the the royal the day before. Thanks Sammie. I will be back. All the way from the USA
Lovely atmosphere and service. We very much enjoyed the baked camembert and a potion of loaded chips. Everything came timely, well portioned and delicious 😋
Just wished to have a light lunch. Very nice pleasant and friendly staff. Triple layered sandwich and chips. Simple but very good.
Great place . Really great atmosphere and friendly staff. Plenty of seating and lovely courtyard garden
Serves a couple of nice craft beers including Beavertown Gamma Ray. No food (except bar snacks). Fast service. Cheesy music. Mix of high stools and sofa chairs. Very clean.
🍻☕🍲A high street pub with a lovely character. It was very quiet when we went there on a b/h weekend & what could be better than a beautiful, traditional, pub on a sunny weekend, by the sea. The staff were friendly & helpful & the Beavertown, on tap, IPA, is delicious. Step into a bit of history & en
Great bar, nice garden in the back. Great beer selection loved the beavertown gamma ray !
Fabulous newly renovated pub on Deal's High Street. The new management truly know the devil in the detail and are very customer focused. Great beers, wines and also a really good cocktail list to boot. A must see in Deal if you like a nice drink in pleasant surroundings.
This was our first visit to the Goodwin s!Ince the change of name and refurbishment. Quite a surprise, it was really nice. The bar staff were excellent, the beer selection was pretty good too. I didn't see the hand pumps so I had a Brixton craft ale, but I noticed later that they had landlord on dra
Great service and friendly staff. Sadly they've stopped doing their awesome burgers which my partner and I miss and no doubt many others too. Hopefully that will return soon.
The prices were a bit more expensive than some of the locals, but the beer was good, with Timothy Taylor Landlord being a regular and the bar staff seemed to know their beers. Probably worth a visit as one of the few town centre pubs left in Deal.
Since becoming The Goodwin, I've visited many times. A lovely refurb of the pub. A great and popular place to drink. Lovely old timey pub feel but with a modern bar, great place on a night out.
Been very nicely refurbished and has a nice friendly atmosphere and perfect location on the high street. well worth popping in. Apparently they will start doing food as soon as they find a chef.
