It was one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The cod was perfect. Great size (I had the large) very thick, flaky, and the batter wasn't greasy. Delicious! Great service too

One of the best fish & chip shops in Deal. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal from there. I especially love their burgers but their fish and chips are also excellent.
The staff here at the Golden Fillet are bloody wonderful. They listen to your order, cook it fresh in front of you, offer salt, pepper etc and give option of open or wrapped. They make polite conversation and whilst food is cooking there are no awkward silences.
The food tastes great and in 15 yrs of eating from here I have NEVER had a bad meal.
If you're in the area they are worth stopping by and getting dinner.
Great food, huge portions and lovely and fresh. Would be 5 stars but cash only and not the most friendliest service, may have caught them at a bad time though. Will be returning none the less for sure.

Our family chip shop, always serves freshly prepared and delicious fish and chips! I particularly enjoy their cod, as the batter is crisp and light and the cod itself is white and flaky in texture. You can ring ahead and reserve your order in advance. Superb!
Absolutely brilliant. I live down the other end of Deal but buy from here as I cannot fault it. It is well worth driving up to get my tea from here. I would highly recommend to to anybody. A lot cheaper too than down in the town..
Rig & chips fresh and wonderful. Always cooked to order so you will have a short wait but it's worth it. Polite and friendly staff who provide a great service, sometimes under significant demand.

The best fish and chips I've ever had. But the burgers are out of this world, considered not mentioning them so I could keep the secret as sometimes they run out. Lol. Highly recommend everything.
Fabulous fish and chips. I haven't been to this fish chip shop in years as I don't live in Deal anymore but remember it well from my school days at Deal Secondary. Special thanks to Leigh for the friendly chat, I will be back!

Friendly and helpful staff ready to serve you as you walk in, nothing to much bother, beautifully cooked fish, chicken, burgers, sausages and delicious pies. I use this chippie every week because they are the best around.
My regular chippy. Always good size portions and good quality, particularly the fish. Would definitely recommend but chips need to be more consistent to get the extra star.
