My Mum and I had a table booked last weekend for lunch, we turned up a little early as we wanted to beat the lunchtime rush. They sat us immediately and then we waited and waited....after asking someone to take our order we asked for olives and 2 glasses of rose.....the olives arrived via another
Wonderful English restaurant with a good solid menu despite COVID. Very good protocols without being too invasive but keeping us all safe. Go for the oven schnitzel or steak but got starters definitely get the mushroom toast, was totally unique and delicious.

Nothing wrong with the service, but had to request serviettes and condiments rather than them being brought to us with the food. No worries.
Also prices are a little more 'London' than seaside town, but in the sunshine, who'd want to be anywhere else? Very pleasant.
We went here a couple of times for a snack at lunchtime and also one evening. The menu is varied and the food was very tasty and enjoyable. A good system was in use to control the covid situation. Very popular place. We were staying in the hotel and ate here for breakfast, had lunch and dinner also due to the standard of the food and service. Pimms on tap (yes please). Food was delicious.
The service and the staff are amazing. Even when the table numbers were mixed up. They were very professional and always served with a smile on their face. I have gluten intolerance and they helped me order as well.
