Attended a meal on Saturday for a 30th birthday with family that were here from Shropshire to visit. Had a lovely meal , food was very tasty and great service. After a busy weekend we had a very tired baby with us. The staff were very helpful and even suggested we could use the upstairs room to settlr him as it may have been too noisy downstairs. I would definatley recommend and will be returning very soon as there was alot of dishes on the menu that I would like to try.
Bought my mum here today for belated mothers day lunch. We both ate from the set menu and couldn't fault the food. By far the best meal I've had out in ages. Good service and lovely surroundings. Definately worth another visit
On behalf of myself and my new husband, we would like to thank Julio and the staff that looked after us and our family's whilst we celebrated our marriage in the upstairs dining room yesterday lunchtime. The attention to detail was impecable and we feel that your staff really went the extra mile to make our happy day as special as possible. Having eaten the exceptional food at 81 in the past, im delighted to say that there was no reduction in quality having had to serve so many people at the same time. Once again a massive thank you for making our day one to remember!
I went to 81 last night for a business meeting, they were very accommodating of my request to be sat out of the way. The new refurb is lovely, the service impeccable as always and the food was the best i’ve had there ( pork belly) a really lovely evening despite it being for work!
Had a most delicious meal, the staff and atmosphere was fantastic i would definately go again and highly recommend it.
Such a totally wonderful experience. The food service, and atmosphere were delightful. The filet I had was perfectly prepared and cooked, and the peppercorn sauce was one of the best I've ever experienced. The side dishes were plentiful and original.
I really liked how the place is set up as well, it has several smaller sections which really give a nice sense of intimacy and enhances the conversation and privacy aspects. Service was superb and friendly.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal for our daughter's 16th birthday. Wonderful courses full of flavour and seasonal choices. Great wine and sumptuous puds all offset by friendly, relaxed waiting. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Had a lovely dinner here tonight! The restaurant is very charming, with a very tasty menu. We had the antipasto board which had a really nice tapenade. For my main, I had the rump steak with garlic butter. Yum. Too stuffed for dessert but the table across from us had lovely looking dishes.

The food is first-rate with creative dishes that are beautifully presented and delicious.
The lunch specials are especially great value, £10 for two or £15 for three courses where each dish is exceptional.
Reservations are highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
I had the most fantastic meal here today. The food really was quite incredible, the best meal I have had in many years. The service was speedy and friendly. The atmosphere is just lovely, informal but delightful. I cannot wait to return.

Gorgeous food and extremely tasty fish dishes, loved the food here. Very helpful and friendly service,relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and very nice choice of wines.Great purchasable art on the walls (my wife bought me a beautiful piece of photographic art from here)
We got married in a small family of 10 service and wanted a nice relaxed meal afterwards and coming to 81 was absolutely fantastic. We had a few dietary requirements and the staff went above and beyond making sure all were taken care of and their vegan options were the best I’ve seen in Deal. The food was just delicious every single one of us cleared our plates and the portions were perfect sizes. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and honestly patient considering how long it took us all to choose or meals. The meals weren’t over priced, you get great food at a great price.
I would definitely recommend 81 to everyone and my husband and I will be making it a regular in our night out.

Good meal on a Saturday evening.
Food was fresh and well prepared but I did find the menu limited and with some unusual combinations.
Highlight of the meal was the excellent dessert.
We found the upstairs restaurant area a little warm and could have done with a bit more ventilation.
Staff polite, attentive and professional.
Definitely recommend booking in advance.

Had a really good time at 81 Beach Street. I had the catch of the day, which was sea bream. It was very fresh and tasty. The palate cleanser was also a lovely touch and for only £2 was great value. The service was also very good, not too pretentious and very friendly. Would definitely recommend
What can we say? Really great food and a young staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. A truly great experience.
Update:Just as good on our return visit some three months later. No wonder it was pretty well full on an October evening.
