We had a lovely lunch here. Highly recommend the small fish and chips (no half portions here plus amazing batter) and the beach lite platter (filling, varied and good quality ingredients). Nice coffee and good service too.

I've reviewed thus place before but not been back since lunch menu changed and I wasn't disappointed! Everything cooked from fresh do don't expect to be served like a fast food restaurant- worth the wait and bargain bottle of wine at just £12! Really relaxed atmosphere and waitress couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be back!

Had a superb meal on Saturday with good friends. They went out of their way to provide vegan food. Excellent worth a visit if in Dawlish. They have a great menu to keep meat eaters and vegetarians happy.

Went the extra mile for our kids, providing an adult meal across two smaller plates - with extras. It’s the little things! All food tasted amazing and well worth a visit.

Enjoyed a lovely meal last night with friends, my favourites the hoummus to start followed by fish cakes all beautifully presented and very tasty. Great service by Helen & food cooked to perfection by Ben, thank you

Fabulous meal, really tasty , freshly cooked. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Though there was a wait, which the waitress informed us that there would be due to the freshly cooked order we had placed, really not a problem . The only down was the situation of the unisex toilet!! Not great for those eating in that part of the restaurant. Despite that I would recommend and revisit Jack Sprats. Thank you all for a pleasent evening

I visited as part of a large group of 15. The food and service was good although there wasn't really enough space for that number of people. Enjoyable time. Would return. I recommend booking a table as I have been turned away before having not booked. Not their fault!

Very pleasantly surprised. Stopped for lunch on a whim. Really good food at the price point. Probably the nicest battered cod I've ever had, fish fell apart and the batter was light and crispy. Had the 3 courses for £13.95

On holiday locally, and popped here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and adjusted my order to ensure it was vegan. Reasonably priced and good sized portions. My food was fresh and very tasty. Would go here again and definitely recommend others to go here, especially those with dietry requirements/vegans.

Lovely restaurant! Delicious spaghetti and pizza. The garlic bread is out of this world! The service was fantastic. The two waitresses were v friendly and accommodating and brought out a box of toys for our little one to play with, much to their delight! The food was served v quickly. We'll be back again next time we visit Dawlish! Thanks for a wonderful meal and evening! It was nice to go to such a warm and welcoming restaurant!

The owner gets the right friendly balance of service smile and interested conversation sharing local knowledge. Food to a very high standard menu blending best tasting burger options with stuffed chicken and sensitive palate choices. Decorated to a beach comb theme wood and shell with plenty of interest. Layout over several levels and outside creates cosy feel where other diners are largely hidden and quiet. So good we went twice and loved it.

It is a nice, cosy cafe, with a wide selection of food and drink options. Service was quick and staff very helpful. The food was good value for money. Mine and my wife's only quibble was that the bread was rather thin for our bacon sarnies. Would definitely go back.

Good service, really nice breakfast and cup of tea. Rather tight with buggy, but baby changing in toilet. Food really good, disappointed by crockery and cutlery not being clean, looked like it had either not been wiped in hot water, only rinsed or the pot wash machine not working. Some bits from loose leaf tea falling on crockery too.

Had a lovely xmas lunch there with friends yesterday. I can honestly say it's 1 of the nicest I've ever had in dawlish. We had the lovely young lady called Rose serving us and she couldn't do enough to make our visit 1 to remember.

Wish we'd found this place earlier in our holiday. The lunch we had was really good, couldn't fault it. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately didn't have opportunity to go back for dinner but we will if we're back in Dawlish.

Our first visit today for my birthday lunch! Can recommend the Pina Colada served in authentic coconut shell. Classy, hip, the music made the atmosphere. Good children's menu and decent portions for the younger ones. Very good!

Haven't been there for a while but was happy to see that a midweek night was still filled with great atmosphere. Fab food (would really reccomend the brie starter) and with Louise helming a busy front of house perfectly we will be returning very soon. Well done guys

I don't think I've had a bad meal at Jack Sprats, and today I was not let down, as we enjoyed the 2 for under a £10 breakfast with a tea and a coffee, brilliant, nice one guys.
