As usual an excellent dining experience. Friendly staff, great menu choices that include pub favourites and options for those who are more adventurous. The Rabbit and carrot cake was superb as was the soft shell crab burger. Always have a good dessert selection if you have room. Great wine list with a good mix of classics and new world options. Highly recommended. Will return many times.
We had an amazing meal for my finacė's birthday. The service was excellent and our waitress (with the pretty makeup) was very knowledgeable. It was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time.

Very enjoyable meal ...Booked for a 'special Birthday' family lunch ..Sunday roasts but alternatives too! Lovely welcome & ambience... Couldn't fault the menu choice or the waitress service -incredibly attentive - spot-on! definitely more than 'pub food' & they know how to serve roast beef (a carvery this ain't!) Good choice of wines & not overpriced. We will definitely go back ! Thankyou The Tilbury !

Last minute decision to stop luckily they had a table. Staff were very attentive and had good knowledge of the menu. Sunday roast was delicious. Highly recommend
We visited to celebrate a birthday. The tasting menu & wine flight were outstanding. Every member of staff knew their job and looked excited & happy to welcome us. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back. Thank you for a truly special evening.

Staff all really professional/nice, food exceptionally good, fun and busy atmosphere.
We were a table of 5, and I don't think one person had a single bad dish? Or to put it better, all dishes were amazing. Portion sizes were big (and certainly without compromise which is often what can happen with larger servings), and was a really nice atmosphere.
Personally went for the Gurnard fish dish since I'd not seen it on a menu before and it's often a very disregarded fish to cook with, so I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be so good!
Not really much more to say other than "definitely go".
Would advise booking (seemed really busy when we went on the Sunday).

Exceptionally good! All 3 meals on point, waitresses very skilled, attentive and willing to tell you about the dishes. A beautiful birthday meal.
Recommend the Cauliflower Soup as the highlight and the truffle Mac and cheese.
Ventured to the Tilbury for Sunday lunch. We'll worth the visit. 3 roast dinners that were exceptional and the beer battered halloumi fries which was scrumptious. We also had the lovely calamari for a starter. No small plates of food here, ample helpings for the hungry. Great attentive staff, very helpful and extremely polite. Yes it's a little pricey, but we came away feeling we had excellent value for money.

We met for a local gathering and was a well spent quality weekend. The ambiance and service were above 5 star. The management team were so friendly and understanding.
The outdoor setup was lovely and spacious, we couldn’t have asked for anything more, everything was perfect and also pet friendly.
Went here recently for a Sunday lunch and we pre-ordered our meals due to the size of the group. Once everyone had arrived, the starters came out within minutes and, once starters were finished with, the mains followed soon after! We were all really impressed with how quick the service was and how incredible the food was, so props to the chefs! The service was just as good - the wait staff were all very friendly and attentive! Highly recommend this place :)
My wife an I come here a few times a year as a treat. It is still our favorite restaurant. Every time we go it is exceptional, from the foor to the service. If you haven't been before try the Tilbury, you won't be disappointed.
Very nice place to have a relaxing meal. Friendly staff, very good food and quite reasonably priced. Also, portion sizes are sensible without filling you up like mad. Recommended
Recently visited for dinner and the food was excellent! I believe the menu is seasonal so changes frequently. However, we had the hash browns from the snack menu, cauliflower cheese soup, duck breast main and the tilbury burger. All of it was delicious. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert! Would definitely return.
