Wow this is the best chippy I’ve ever had. Came here on a trip to Darwen to watch football. Straight away we got a very nice warm welcome from the staff I went for the John Bull and chips and gravy and it was sensational.
When I spotted on social media there was an award winning chip shop on my doorstep, I had to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. I go to this place 2-3 times per week and it is the best! The staff are the nicest people I have ever met and the chips and gravy are fit for a king! I am one of their biggest fans and it deserves way more recognition, Also, there is absolutely no wonder it is one of the highest rated chippys in Dar
Went here for lunch. Excellent service by the owners. Very friendly. Ordered 3 lots of fish chips and peas . We all enjoyed our meals and my Mother in law who struggles with food ate the lot. Will be happy to re-visit and try a john bull 😊
Great friendly service. Massive portions, great food. Definitely worth going back. Just be aware of short opening hours.
A very good traditional chippy and service with a smile. We had jumbo sausage chips & gravy and was delicious. The owner and staff are really friendly and inviting when you arrive. Also on another note the packaging they use can be recycled unlike a lot of takeaway's in town that still use polystyr
Absolutely the best Chippy in the area, the food is cooked to perfection, care and pride. Been waiting a long time for a quality fish and chips this side of the pennines. Well done and keep the standards up guys.
Lovely food and very friendly staff. The only criticism is that on both visits, the chips have only been lukewarm. Sort this and you'll have the best chippy in the area!
We travelled 22 miles based in the good reviews and wasn't disappointed! Proper old fashioned fish and chips, lovely owner who really does take pride in what he does. We'll be back!

Wow fried in beef dripping totally awesome haven't tasted chips as good in years . Cant wait to go back and sample more of the menu. Very friendly too.

Good old John bulls and chips done in beef dripping mmm not tasted that in years I live in Blackburn and they in Darwen well worth a trip not bad priced staff very polite one even very good looking
