Well what a treat, after a circular walk over Darwen Tower on the way back my better half said she'd love a pea & ham soup. Low & behold exactly what was on the menu, homemade on site & I also managed a butter pie with and a decent brew all for a great price. Perfect autumn days walk & food.
Grab a mean brew after a ramble up to Jubilee Tower (Darwen Tower to you and me) I can recommend the potato pie and gravy what with a bit of pepper will put hairs on your chest but Iβm told by the lovely staff (who speak fluent Lancastrian) the local delicacy is butter pie. By βEck!
