Chilled atmosphere, nice pint and open mic guests last thursday every month. Worth a visit and sing.

New owners will be taking over in January 2020 after ten brilliant years of Number 39. The end of an era for the best small music venue anywhere!!
Had to laugh at the reviewer who moaned because he entered a music venue and people had to tell him to "shush" - I think that says more about the reviewe
Nice bar, good speedy service, well kept beer.
Nice atmosphere. Music orientated, so there's live music and decent music playing in the background when not. Very relaxing and sociable.
Has an excellent range of freshly brewed ales all on hand pumps. I had Up t'mill which was 3.8% and was smooth and very moreish. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The night we went was open mic night and there was a steady stream of musicians willing to have a go. All really good and I would
