Since finding this hidden gem, I've been quite a few times, service is fast & friendly, the steak is always cooked perfectly, the blue cheese sauce is amazing & the mojito is always refreshing! I seriously can't fault it in any way xx
Had the pleasure of having two Christmas meals at Zest, all cooked Slimming World friendly on request for us. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and the staff were incredible, service with a smile, well organised and no request a problem, they really allowed us to have a fantastic couple of nights. Not often you'll find service quite like it. Excellent value for money.

The afternoon tea was lovely. You could see the effort that had gone into it. The special sausage roll and the mini Yorkshire puddings with roast beef and gravy were lovely. I was very surprised how good this was I would definitely recommend others to try this.
I definitely need to visit here more often, went for Brekkie this morning with a hangover and it sorted me RIGHT out! Really well priced, great food and lovely staff. Will be back again for a meal sooner rather than later because the menu looks fab! �
Came for Valentine's afternoon tea with children, also for mothers day afternoon tea the staff are fantastic with children the food was 5 star very impressed will definitely be coming back.
Elise and I loved the breakfast with Santa morning, they kept her entertained with arts and crafts and breakfast, pass the parcel and then to end it with a visit from Santa 🎅 she really enjoyed it and we will be returning next year , Thankyou zest cafe lounge 😍😍
Utterly amazing drinks (recommend the milkshakes!) The staff are as nice and as funny as can be. The food is amazing, so is the presentation it is set out brilliantly. It looks heavenly, extremely clean and cozy. All round this café us absolutely flawless

Went for a Halloween themed afternoon tea, kids loved it and the venue looked nice with another Halloween decorations! Not only did the offer kids Halloween tea but for adults too...yummy!

My mum has asked me to write a review as she was so happy with her afternoon tea at Zest. She has to have gluten free food due to having coeliac disease and we’ve been to a few afternoon teas and she’s not had many options/it’s very basic. However, we booked on to the Halloween special afternoon tea at Zest to take my son and asked for one of them to be gluten free. They went above and beyond to make her afternoon tea as good as ours. She had sandwiches, a panini, a quiche, chips and a selection of desserts - all were delicious. My afternoon tea was also great and my son loved his with all the Halloween goodies. I love suprises and Zest is one of them. I had seen the place from the road but never bothered trying it out. That has been my mistake having lived in the town for more than 4 years.
The food in here is excellent, not flashy but good ingredients prepared and served wonderfully.

Zest is a delightful cafe lounge, it is small and only has several inside tables but they are well spaced and pleasantly furnished. There are a few table outside on the pavement frontage to use on a an appropriate weather day. The menu is simple but the food is freshly made, I called in for a takeaway breakfast sandwich, it was cooked to perfection and consisted of a large plate sized 'bap' filled with 2 eggs 2 sausages 2 rashers of bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes all fresh and not microwaved and excellent value at £4-50. This cafe is an honest little gem in a town that has more than its share of eateries and take aways.
Top notch full English at this little cafe. Called in today and was impressed by the speedy service, very polite and cheery staff and fair pricing.
Definitely calling back next time we're over Darwen on the bikes.

We had our silver wedding family party there . The staff and food was excellent. Nothing too much trouble . Plus Thursday night steak night is fabulous value . Great cocktails too

Zest cafe lounge is a wonderful place to be. There is a large selection of food which is amazing. The drinks are fantastic. Overall I'd say its the best cafe I've ever been to. Well done everyone who works there. :-D
Went to the Zest Tapas night and oh my word! Food was just amazing! Every single dish was gorgeous! I will most definitely be coming back :)
