Brilliant food, brilliant value for money, staff extremely friendly and welcoming and a lovely cosy atmosphere! I couldn't recommend this place enough and for me I think this is going to be a new regular place for me and my family. Also great for a little snack on a walk with the dog as the pub is dog friendly.
All the staff were most happy to accommodate myself. Visited on a thursday night .but the place was quite full . Well organised and always staff on hand to assist if needed
Went to the rock tonight for the first time this evening and I have to say it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and good value for money. They did run out of roastie but we were given complimentary bowls of chips. The staff were super friendly. It was very busy and the atmosphere was was brilliant. We will definitely be going back

We enjoyed our meal and bottle of wine. Prices were very fair. We were celebrating our 49th Wedding Anniversary. The owner came to speak to us, and we enjoyed the chat and banter. Would definitely go back again. Service was great and waitress was very polite and helpful.
Fantastic pizzas - the gluten free base is a brilliant taste, just like a traditional base, and at no extra cost. Fresh (tasty) ingredients, lovely service and a great price for a family meal
A real treat just popping into The Rock tonight. Great atmosphere, superb food and such friendly and efficient staff. Will certainly be back. Also just £35 for 2 excellent meals and 1 pints.
Not from the area, made very welcome by staff & locals. Very helpful in giving us directions back to where we needed to go. Will definitely visit again. Lovely pub in a lovely location
Very lovely home cooked food with dinner dishes of Cypriot influence and others more typical pub food. Cooked well and there's always a warm welcome. Recommended
Just a quick post saying how great the staff were last night. Blackburn Road Runners used the pub as a base for a run and 35 plus diners came back and all of us had a great meal, great service and a fab welcome. We would recommend the pub to eat and the views are good, and there are good walks nearby. Thank you, we will be returning.

My sister’s fella held a fell race event from this pub last week and it was excellent! The staff working there were super friendly and helpful, the food was all excellent and the venue is lovely with a beautiful view. Highly recommend the place for a drink, food and if you need somewhere to hold an event.
What a great place this is. The food is amazing friendly staff good choice and super tasty. Just had Pollo Tockoles delicious 😋, highly recommended. Finished with the Apple pie, yum, then a Tia Maria coffee.This country pub offers lovely views across the valley.

Cannot find a single fault. Lovely staff, beautiful setting, incredible food. Felt at ease even with a 5 and a 4 year old. We will certainly be back.
