The cafe is only a small space, seating about 12 people and situated just a stones throw from the harbour. The building itself is a shared space and includes a library and upstairs, a cinema.
We enjoyed a very nice breakfast here - excellent toast and coffee. Highly recommended.
Great community facility with cinema - you can take your own drinks and snacks. Watched Oppenheimer, a great film.
Excellent medium size venue. Friendly staff.
Stylish, smallish, professional venue with a packed schedule, staffed by friendly volunteers. This is your place for films, shows, etc (or The Romany Cinema in Totnes). With a nice little cafe and a modern bar area for intermissions. Posters in the windows tell you what is coming up.
Wonderful array of events, just loved the roh production we saw here, just loses a star because my goodness my bum hurt after sitting for a couple of hours here though I'm assured it used to be way worse :-) wonderful venue and great events
Visited the cafe for a sandwich and a drink. Very nice service.
Awesome performance by The Darkside of Pink Floyd. Great building, comfortable seating, friendly, helpful staff and intimate live music venue.
Gotta love the Flavel. Always something going on. Cinema, library, cafe, cultural activities and talks and exhibitions!
A fairly small venue but very friendly and welcoming. Every thing from the cafe to the loos is spotlessly clean. Good selection of up to date films on at the cinema. Comfortable seating with enough leg room in the auditorium but the stairs to higher levels are quite steep, there are limited seats a
Flavel was great. After a drink at the ba we saw a filmed production of Uncle Vanya. Very spacious and excellent air-conditioning. It's mainly run by volunteers so well worth supporting.
Delightful well run Arts Centre. Plenty to offer.
We have enjoyed a wonderful concert tonight in a great venue.
Many thanks to all who work hard to put it all together.
We will be back.
Nice venue for a gig...
Still great...
Our holidays in Dartmouth are transformed by the Flavel. It has an admirably varied programme of high quality events. We have enjoyed lots of good films there, and their NT Live shows are terrific. It is run by volunteers, whose commitment and welcome makes it all work beautifully.
Excellent mix of all main arts in performance and occasional displays.Up to date cinema and live performances in modern theatre.Only problem is the strong competition for booking conference and performance rooms. On site coffee shop, helpful reception desk manned all day.
Watched the pantomime in Dec 2017. The actual venue is great and the service good. Took our grandson and he loved watching Dick Whittington. Mixed ability acting but grandson wasn't bothered!!
If the Flavel left Dartmouth, so would I! The Flavel is the best arts centres I have ever been to and has a vast array of entertainment to suit every taste. The Coffee Couture Cafe downstairs serves great cofree every day 9am to 5pm and the Flavel bar upstairs is open for drinks after that. Thank yo
This community venue is part of the heart of Dartmouth. It holds the library, theatre, cinema and coffee shop all in one.
The plays and movies are decided on by the management team and most of the time, they get it right. This includes the Northern Ballet productions
