Good food, eco friendly packaging, very friendly and helpful lady serving, awesome location. Well worth it.
A nice cafe with a beach shop on situated at the top of the beach. The prices are high as expected due to the location and queue's in the summer can be long. The kayak and paddle board hiring was reasonable though.
This has to be one of the best locations in the country for a cafe. In winter it is quiet and spectacular and open almost every day.
All the food is fresh, and local. The management is exceptionally environmental aware, hence the slightly higher prices. With a view like that from a responsible management, it is simple joy.
A great place to eat out for vegans - although rather pricey as you would expect for a beach cafe.
We had a couple of bags of chips and vegan ice cream and they sell both Ben and Jerry's chocolate and brownie ice cream and also a vegan ice cream in a cone that is gluten free too.
Massive queues but to be expected on such a beautiful day.
Beautiful location, fast service, and above all, delicious (grass fed) burgers, even the bread was perfect, and we had them with chips. We didn’t expect much for a little beach cafe, but it all was so yummy and FRESH, as it should be. I just wish they could stay open through the evening.
Very nice chicken taco meals in a beautiful spot. Was busy when we went today but 10 minutes wait for food to be prepared fresh is pefectly fine. It is a beach cafe not a michelin starred restaurant. Perhaps the reviewers who thought otherwise are in a perpetually confused state.
Great view, lovely vegan options but very slow service - 50 minutes between ordering and food arriving...worth the wait!
Wow. First day on holiday. Short loop walk from Stoke Fleming to Blackpool Sands via beautiful Mill Lane , back via coast path, Old Road and visit the Lovingly kept Church yard . Venus Cafe : Polite, efficient Staff. Plenty of tables and seating outside with views of the Sea. Classic burger 🍔☺️ oh Yes..... .made with local beef , substantial, succulent and tasty on a fresh, floury , quality bun. Nicely grilled tomato, non greasy slaw. The best burger I've ever eaten and I'm an old so & so of 58. I wasn't expecting such a good burger but this was gourmet quality. My Wife was delighted with a snack of cheesy chips , both washed down with beautifully kept draught San Miguel. Not cheap but I would rather pay a couple of quid extra and eat something of quality than be disappointed. Also, I am glad to support a local business in these troubled times and sincerely hope that Venus Cafe more than makes up for the last year. Thank you to the Staff for providing such a good experience for your Customers. Very clean area, no litter . Toilets on site were clean too. Top marks all round.
Great location, lovely staff and excellent food.
We got married at Venus Cafe and it was a truly unforgettable experience.
Suz the manager was so fantastic and attentive and helped make our day so special.
All of our guests commented on how wonderful the venue was.
Lovely fresh food and nice craft beers and wines to select from.
The location on the beach is stunning. It's a quiet, peaceful, happy place.
Highly recommended for a meal out, drink or event hire.
We plan to come here as often as possible whenever we come back to South Devon.
Visited on holiday, beautiful beach and decided to get some food from the cafe on the second visit. Minor blip with my son's burger which was rectified immediately and the chef couldn't be nicer. A truth testament to how a business works is how it deals with these situations. The food was really good and the prices seem very reasonable considering the quality, location and eco commitment. Just sad we only ate here on the last day or we would definitely return.
Lovely beach cafe, had lunch which was a cut above the usual beach cafe fare (and cooked to order but quickly). Bought some cake to take home and it was the nicest cake I've eaten for a long long time. Good eco friendly packaging too
