What a great place to while away the time the food is really good plenty of choice for both food and drink, the roof top terrace is perfect to watch the activities on the river.

We holidayed in Dartmouth, we have just arrived back home now. We had two lovely meals at the floating bridge. I had a delicious fish pie and last night had an amazing fish and chips. Highly recommend a visit.
We knew Alison and Easton , the proprietors of the Floating Bridge, as they originally come from our home town of Gloucester. We have frequented most of their establishments in our area over the years, so when we heard that they also have one in Dartmouth ( soon to be two) , we knew that we could get a very good lunch. We were not disappointed with our fish and chips which was obviously fresh , and beautifully cooked. You can choose from three sizes, and we all opted for the medium, but to be honest, having a small appetite, I would probably choose the small portion next time. The inn is situated in a good location for watching the boats on the River Dart, especially as there is a roof terrace, and seating area across the road, beside the river.We will definitely return soon.

This is a great pub. Itās clean, the wines and beers were very well cared for and the food was top notch.
Brilliant place to eat wide menu choice and the Spanish barman made it for us !!! What a character!! They also allow dogs into the bar area
A lovely setting with plenty going on on the river to amuse! The food is absolutely beautiful, the fillet steak was so soft and perfectly cooked, the starters were really good but the scampi was pre packed and a little disappointing, tho that's due to my husband not realising there was a full fish menu on the wall. That aside, the service was really friendly and attentive, the beers were good and we're back again this evening.
Fabulous meal with very friendly staff. Service was really quick, but we wouldn't have minded if it had taken longer. There was a lovely relaxed feeling with great music in the background that didn't deafen you. The food was fantastic, especially the steak, cooked just as I like it. There is a display of puddings to make your mouth water, the chocolate fudge cake was the perfect end to the meal.
Our dog thoroughly enjoyed herself too, she was made very welcome and loved the treats she was given. We'll definitely be back.

Not a main tourist spot so not too busy when we went for a midweek lunch. Food off the specials board was pleasant if not a little underwhelming considering the modest prices. Drinks selection was OK. Not much charm or character to the pub overall. Wouldn't rush back
A lovely pub with a cracking view from the large dining terrace looking over Dartmouth and towards Kingswear. The food was really good - classic pub fare but made really well with v. quick service. We had the sandwiches (huge) and a children's meal. All excellent. Visit if you are in the area!
What a lovely pub! Went for lunch on a Tuesday and it was absolutely fantastic. Four of us ate, and four of us loved our meals. No room for pudding, so we have brought ours home for this evening! Very friendly staff, and nice place to be in. Thoroughly recommend it, and well worth the short walk out of the tourist part of Dartmouth.

Holidaying in the area and stopped in on the off chance, was greeted by such warm welcoming staff, so much so we went back three days in a row. Food is incredible, service spot on and a special mention for the head of front of houseā¦. Charming, good banter and impeccable service, really knows how to run the place! Was amazing with our two young girls, made all the difference when dining out with youngens. Definitely recommend to all! Big thanks to the team. Thanks mucker!!!!

Came here for an evening meal while staying in the harbour. It is a lovely location overlooking the harbour. You can sit outside and eat happily.
The food and drink is fairly standard pub grub, but it has some nice specials, if more expensive.
We shared a starter between 3 and then had fish + scampi and chips plus a Dover sole and veg with side salad and 2 rounds of beers.
It was good quality throughout and service.
Total cost came to Ā£75 for 3.
Excellent fish and chips that come in generous portions. Very sociable staff. Plum crumble and the ginger foam tort are a wonderful experience.
My hubby and I had a sandwich lunch here and an evening meal whilst in a weeks holiday in beautiful Dartmouth. The sandwichs were delicious, well filled with quality products so much so we didn't eat for the rest of the day. 1 plate of sandwiches and a bowl of chips would be perfect. The evening meal was delicious, steak and kidney pie with chips and seasonal veg and gammon off the specials board. Quite large meals too and reasonably priced for nowadays. Lovely clean pub/ restaurant with friendly staff.

We had a little lunch trip to Dartmouth and decided to go to The Floating Bridge for some lunch, I had āThe Whole Hogā burger which come with fries and coleslaw. I must say this is the BEST burger I have ever eaten, I would recommend this pub for all people visiting South Devon and I will be returning in the future!
Ideally placed overlooking the River Dart & Kingswear. Its roof terrace is a wonderful sun trap with stunning views. Friendly staff and great value food & drink for such a location. Highly recommend.
Roast dinner was delicious - all aspects cooked to perfection. Beef was to die for! Even let me have a bit of cheeky crackling. All served on the roof terrace over looking the river as the steam train came by. The staff were friendly and made conversation whilst being very efficient. What's not to love about that?!
Popped in for a drink, and it was lovely sitting on the roof terrace watching the world go by, along with views of the Higher Ferry. Friendly and helpful staff and, although we didn't eat, the food served to other customers looked good.
Amazing place! I have coeliac disease and canāt eat anything with gluten or that may have come into contact with gluten. The guy serving us was extremely knowledgeable, really helped me select what I could eat and eat safely and was just super helpful. Great pub, great food and Iāll definitely be going backā¦ fantastic find!
2 visits in 2 days with our little Norfie and what a superb restaurant. Warm and friendly welcome and very dog friendly. A good menu on offer with great food, wine and beer consumed. Service was top notch and everything was value for money. We will be back.
